When I worked in retail for a summer, doing this video every day after work was the only thing that helped relieve the pain in my body. I return to it often. I love doing it right before bed -- it helps me sleep so much more soundly. Thank you for making this video and keeping it online for this long! From someone who is still using it :)

I have started to practice yoga in 2020 by following your classes, and this is still one of my favourite ones! I can really feel how tensions in the feet lead to a blockade in the upper neck. Releasing the tension helps me feel grounded again and the breath flows more easily afterwards : )

Hello Lynn! I have several local clients who struggle with leg length issues as well as feet pain and discomfort so I often do classes like this here at the local studio! I am always amazed at how everyone feels better after they care for they legs and feet and I recommend doing practice for this area every single week (after all - our feet and legs carry us every day!). I'm just loving your channel!! This was perfect. Most people don't realize how important it is to care for your feet. I'm on my feet a lot. But I learned about the importance of caring for the feet from my time in the army.
@YogaRangerStudio6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, many people don't understand the value of caring for their feet until something goes wrong, sadly. But just a little bit of daily care can change your entire body...relieving headaches, back pain, and other issues that originated in something wrong in the feet. Thanks for joining me and have a great day! Namaste, Aprille ❤☺

This is just what I was looking for. Love the use of the myofascial release ball. You did keep mentioning that the audience might be getting impatient, but I actually felt the whole thing was rather rushed for yin yoga. I literally checked my playback speed. I would love to see a remake of this at a more relaxed place. Namaste.
@YogaRangerStudio3 жыл бұрын
Jessie, this is not a Yin Yoga class but a slow flow class. A Yin Yoga class would be much, much slower. I can certainly add a class with this into my Yin Yoga requests list and work on one though.
@jessiewadkins88863 жыл бұрын
@@YogaRangerStudio My apologies. I had searched yin yoga, and my brain assumed that's what the class was when it came up in the search. My wife and I just completed yin for runners, cyclists, and athletes, and enjoyed it. Would LOVE a yin for lower legs!

Thanks, loved this one! You spoke about the difference between stretching your calve muscles and your hamstrings. How do you feel that difference?
@YogaRangerStudio7 жыл бұрын
Claire, while lying on your back, if you take a strap/belt on the bottom of your foot (right below the toes) and take that foot up towards the ceiling, straightening but not locking the knee - you can feel this difference (starts at 8:00). As you hold this position (supta padangusthasana), and strongly flex your toes towards your body, you will feel whether it is hamstrings or calves. The more you flex your toes and point the heel towards the ceiling, the more you stretch the calves - the more you pull the foot over and towards the crown of your head, the more you stretch the hamstrings. The toe flip (11:00) also has a lot of calf stretch to it without really stretching the hamstrings. My feeling is that whenever you very strongly flex the toes, you will feel the calves more. Thanks for watching and I hope that all made sense! I have a Yin for Happy Hamstrings class coming up in June that will focus entirely on the hamstrings and might make you feel the difference more as well. Peace & Namaste, Aprille

Thank you Aprile , that video help me a lot with my knee too , I have a question , do you have a video for knee pain ?
@YogaRangerStudio4 жыл бұрын
Yes I do! I have a few tutorials on working with knee pain in poses that require knees to be in certain positions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnfdiIdvnNWdbMU kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2PUgqOQrteDZrc And a practice that is to care for knees when they are painful (a whole body practice without exacerbating knee pain). kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpPKpnSIiJJqp6s Generally, It is best to reach out to your healthcare provider to ask what poses might be appropriate for your specific knee issues and if you have an injury - please contact your health team for their help in determining what would be best for you to do over the course of your recovery. Thanks! Peace, Aprille

Wishing you luck on your surgery and sending lots of healing energy your way! Peace, Aprille
