I did this practice one day after months of clearing traumas with my therapist. I had been so weak and sick from all the toxins leaving my body. The next day after doing this practice I felt all the old emotions release from my body. It was as if a plug had been pulled from my root chakra and I felt all my pain and suffering drain quickly into the earth and then this beautiful electrifying energy shot up my root to my crown chakra. It was the most beautiful experience of my life. I healed in that moment. I felt so peaceful, free, joyful and thankful. I cried on my knees with gratitude, I cried as I had awakened, I cried as I walked outside and saw mother earth as I had never seen her before. And I cried today again revisiting this practice. Love love love the release. My soul is eternally grateful for that experience, you and your channel. Thank you. Namaste.

I love and respect deeply when you admit that a certain pose is not for your body. This is very rare for yoga instructors and it helps me not to feel bad or like a failure because I am not capable of certain poses. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the modification options that's always helpful. I was pleasantly shocked and surprised that about 5 minutes after finishing I felt like I took a happy pill for about 20 to 25 minutes. I was expecting a complete meltdown within the 24-hour period of time you mentioned that it could take. But rather instead of a release of painful, sorrowful etc type of emotions I got a burst lightness & joyful, peaceful, happy feeling. Like the oppression/depression lifted. I'm going to keep this one in the digestive one going each week in see where it takes me. Thank you so much💖 you have no idea how wonderful it felt to feel that, even for a short time. And Glory be to God as He is ever present in my sessions. 🙏💖 namaste.

This routine was one that I was hoping you had already created as I am working on releasing those last vestiges of tightness in the piriformis and flutes. (Ha! Stupid auto correct. I meant glutes of course but that’s pretty funny so I’m leaving it.) Peeling away layers slowly but surely with regular practice. I’ve got a few more longer ones waiting for me to try in my Watch Later list, but I think I will make this one a once a week routine. Hello kitty! I heard you. My kitten couldn’t seem to bear to be parted for me for the first half and I had to watch where I moved body parts to, but now she is off on her adventures somewhere. Thanks for this video - I loved it!

Absolutely beautiful practice. I love that you focus on the more spiritual aspect of yoga. This is often neglected by western teachers because the main focus is typically on the body, what it looks like, and what it is capable of doing. Dealing with PMS and ruminating thoughts and addictive behaviours this morning I came across this yoga class and it was exactly what i needed! Not another fast paced exercise class to try and get high off endorphin release, but to stretch my hips out which give me so much discomfort daily and to sit with those uneasy feelings and face my mind instead of constantly running away from it. I am definitely becoming more of a fan of yin, it is so subtle but almost like magic how it unties you physically and then emotionally. Just what my hips and nervous system and monkey mind needed, thank you Aprille ❤🧡💛🙏

Peace and Namaste( again), Still working on my healing process. ( i Stay with the lady who did most of my trauma, so it's Constant triggers that i have to calm my nervous system down from . Every once in a while, I will come back to this video. It's been 2 years since this video has made an appearance in my life. The last time i did this, I was in a terrible mental state. Now i am in a better mental state and I wonder if it will have the same effect that it did have on me then. Yin yoga is really a game changer and has helped me with feeling my emotions. Thanks.

I've been having recovered memories pop up and find when I'm struggling to release trauma trapped in my body I suffer with my hips and lower back. I came across this video and it was just what I needed. Felt such a release and shift in energy. Thank you 💖

This was an interesting practice because as Aprile mentions, the poses do not feel particularly pleasant while you are doing them but the cumulative effect is notable. I feel physically lighter and in a better place emotionally.

Thank you Aprille, I really needed this practice. I've been doing some inner emotional work recently as I've realised I have some stuck negativity from past experiences which I've never properly released. It came to a climax last night and had a major breakdown. I felt so tired by the time I went to sleep and even more tired when I woke this morning. I now feel more calm and peaceful after this yin class. Thank you 💗

In the past years, I have been struggling with dissociation which lead to intense anxiety and some very dark thoughts. I've also gone through many losses recently which has made life extremely painful. I am forever grateful for practices such as these :) I'm very scared to get back into the body but I will try anyway. I cried so much ahh. I also loved the poem. I'm choosing to see my hardships as "guidance from beyond" from now on, thank you! Will be doing yin yoga and watching these videos more often and will try to update in the future. :0

Oh my gosh Aprille, this class is so comprehensive and thorough, hitting every area of the hips and glutes. Thank you so very much for putting it together. And love the poem and addition of the singing bowls at the end. The poem is so beautiful and touching and it hit emotionally (release of the hips!!).
