Gentle Yoga to help relieve congestion, headaches and sinusitis from hay fever.
During this yoga flow we will practice a pranayama technique called alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodana) to help clear the airways. We will also use inverted yoga asanas like down-ward facing dog, puppy pose, and many others where the heart is raised higher than the head like bridge pose to help increase blood flow to the head and aid in sinus drainage. During the inverted postures, you may feel a lot of pressure in the sinuses, which is completely normal so long as there's no pain. We will also end the flow with a gentle facial massage to help drain the sinuses of any blockages and increase blood flow back into the area.
Let me know your thoughts once you've tried this class and feel free to share with others.
Namaste,
Candace
