Aprille, I cannot thank you enough for what you offer to us all here. I have done your guided body scans before and I do one of your short yin or restorative classes nearly everyday but this was a whole other level. I have felt so exhausted physically and mentally starting a new full time job, my period approaching which often causes near psychosis/deep depression for me, feeling I don't have much time for myself or my own interests, feeling filled to the brim with stuff I don't need, tension that is causing injury in my lower back, irritability in my mind, etc. I stretched out my legs and lower back using my strap and then realized I really needed a longer savasana and happened upon this video. Wow, I feel completely different. I truly do. I feel melty. I often do fall asleep during Yoga Nidra but I actually was able to stay awake and fell into that more conscious yogic sleep that is sometimes found in Yoga Nidra. I also had a few twitches come out as I feel deeper into the yogic sleep state and truly felt myself coming back to our natural balanced state, our more aligned state. I feel completely empty. In the most wonderful way. Empty and ready to go inward as I welcome my period. This is exactly what I needed. As I begin to save up money, I want to donate to you because what you have brought into my life, I cannot express my gratitude. Thank you thank you thank you. You are a light on this Earth. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. You are following your calling and you inspire me to do the same.

You are incredibly welcome and I am glad you found this practice! I know just what you mean when you say deeper Yoga Nidra state and the times I have enjoyed that same state have been blissful! I wish you all the best in your new job and as you work with your moon cycle. Take lots of selfcare, rest and soothing time (as much as you can). I like this one, Aprille - thank you so very much. I don’t know how you find the time during this time year to make these, but I am sure I’m not the only one who appreciates it. It’s funny - I NEVER make it to the end of these sets without falling asleep. In fact, I always awaken at some point unsure if you are still going. I literally have to sit up and look at screen! Up until tonight when I finally decided to rewind the last couple minutes, I honestly thought you just stopped talking and let us zzzzz off to sleep. You are amazingly effective at meditation.

I was just thinking of you Denise! Lucy joined me for a practice yesterday and she was a hoot! Into everything and more. It's a hamstrings rollout coming in February. Btw, she's right on my lap now chirping at the computer and making biscuits. I am so glad you liked this meditation. I find the longer guided meditations are super soothing. Thank you so much. I have learned that Yoga Nidra is a very powerful tool. I love your voice, it’s a very soothing one. One important thing : I need to keep on focussing myself to your voice, if not I tend to fall asleep and that’s not the intention of Yoga Nidra 😀. I guess my body feels tired. Again thank you 🌸🙏🌸

You are so welcome and indeed - Yoga Nidra can be such a powerful practice. While staying awake is great, if you fall asleep, you can still reap many of the benefits of Yoga Nidra. It is a great practice to help your mind and body settle into a healing state overall and can help you sleep SO well. You might find that sometimes you can stay awake and sometimes your body needs the rest more and that's okay too. Thanks for joining me!

Good Morning, Aprille I did this class yesterday after doing your beginner yin yoga class and my body was in a really relaxed state of relaxation it felt I was sleeping. I have been holding alot of tension in my body for years and it felt great to release this tension. Thanks so much for such a beautiful yoga nidra. Linda

That's okay - if you fall asleep you probably needed it and this helped you get the rest your mind/body needed. I fell asleep every time for the first few years in yoga nidra and still do sometimes. But, know that as time goes on, it will relax you without you falling completely asleep every time. Enjoy the rest and have a wonderful day! Peace, Aprille
