I LOVE your style. My husband is newer to yoga and trying to work out some hip issues. If you take requests, he would love the following: A Beginner 45 minute workout with a good warm-up, then a slower paced workout, focusing on different areas of the body. Maybe one workout focusing on opening hips, another focusing on core, another on legs... He really appreciates your pace being slower than a lot of yoga instructors, and you explains things very well for proper posture, support, etc...

So glad to know other viewers appreciate the slower pace also!

This is a great video! I love your calming voice, the sound of the water in the background, and that you give lots of instruction. This will become my go-to sun salutation video! I also like the shorter video length. I often only have 10-20 minutes to do yoga each morning, so this is very nice! If you do a faster sun salutation video that's about 10 minutes, that would be awesome too! Thanks, Tim!

+bookgirl2222 I know how it can be. Look for a shorter video, although 10 minutes is super short! Thats all the time you can give your body??

Hi Tim, I'm not sure if you still check the comments on this channel, but I'm hoping you can do a 2020 version of this video, or better yet, a slower, block assisted version for those of us who are beginners / limited mobility. I find it difficult to keep up with the speed, and some of the stretches are difficult to get into without the aid of a block. I hope you can show me how to do it properly! Thanks again!

it was good. Thank you. I practice yoga with youtube videos all the time, and it was hard to focus on my own practice with the excessive instruction. This is just my opinion but any feed back is good feedback.

Jamie Spurlock Oh thanks. I think people watch my videos for the "excessive instruction". Hope you find someone that doesn;t give as much instruction

I actually felt graceful doing Sun Salutation with you, not flopping like a fish. I didn't want the series to end, but you're right, too much of a good thing ends up not good. I'll be doing the 9 minutes core challenge after doing this series, is that good or ill-advised?
@YogaDose10 жыл бұрын
Lv Girliel Whoa, thats cool. I recommend doing the core video to start. But if your do it after that's not the end of the world.

hi tim!! love your videos! i just have one question.. is there an order in which we should practise the postures? i mean what follows the sun salutation and when should we start doing a flow and the a headstand? i am a bit confused about the order postures should go and i hope you could clear this up for me! thanks a lot keep up the good work!

+Alex Cle Hi Alex. Yes I recommend doing the beginner series first and then Intro to vinyasa and then this video. Great question.

The basic thing about yoga n Sun Salutation is we never ever do it without a mat. The reason is the energy generated in our bodies during Yoga goes straight down in the land/floor if we dont use a mat and thus we fail to get benefits of that energy.

Hi Tim, nice video. I used to do 100 sun salutations everyday. I continued for some 2 months and thought weight training and circuit training would burn more fat so to loose weight i shifted to gym workouts. There was a saint who belonged to my birthplace Mahraashtra state in India called Samartha Ramdas(1300 A.D.) , who used to do 1200 sun salutations everyday. I am also aiming the same. But as you are an expert i wanna know will1000 sun salutaions bulk up my body? Coz thats the reason i am leaving gym workouts and shifting to sun salutation back again. Thanks for posting the video. And nice physique brother is that result of mere yoga and sun salutations?
@YogaDose10 жыл бұрын
Deepesh Pakhare In modern times through studies and research and studying yoga related injuries, we know that repetitive stress injury is something that we have to be careful with in yoga. I wouldn't recommend anyone do more than 5 A and 5 B Salutations per practice. Personally I don't think the body is designed for much more than that. It may be fine for a while, but for sure in a year or two the wrist elbow shoulder and or lowback will give out. Let me know your thoughts on Repetitive stress injury.
@deepeshpakhare10 жыл бұрын
Yoga With Tim , I haven't learnt much about repetative stress injury, but with my experience of 2 months with 100 sun salutations a day, I found that my body became very flexible, my elbo joint was twisting so much that once my general surgeon brother was abacked to see it, he also admired n said it was good. I still want to give a try for 1000 sun saluations a day. But as you are an expert I wont ignore your advice. So now the aim is 500 sunsalutations a day. I think that is quite safe. Thank you tim for making me aware of the risks. I appreciate your help. All the best for your work. Have a wonderful day!,

How is sun salutation different from vinyasa flow?
@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
Ciggy Drags Vinyasa is a type of yoga, linking breath with movement. A sun salutation is a warm up done at the beginning of a practice.
