You know, I've always heard about all the benefits of practicing Yoga but I just never got to it. That was until i developed severe depression and anxiety attacks in the beggining of 2019...Now We're almost in 2020 and I have no doubt in my mind that starting to practice Yoga together with meditation and regular exercices saved my life. Here in Brazil is expensive to practice yoga and is not something that's part of our culture so I'm very happy to find some good and free yoga content on KZbin , cheers!

2024 and I still come back to this video (I started in 2014) and the complete beginners one. I was so amazed when I realised that all I had to do was listen closely to the instructions and automatically felt that my poses were getting corrected. The pace is just right. With other videos I’ve tried, I have to always keep pausing and rewinding to hear the instructions. This is still the best instructional video that I’ve found, and the voice is so calming too!!

a lot of people have said its too fast but if you stick with it the routine is repeated lots of times so you get used to it and then its fine. I have never done any yoga before at all but i stuck with it and i think it was a really good exercise.

I just want to say I've enjoyed this series as a beginner with back problems I stuck to beginners video(slower one 20min)for over a month now and I flow very easily through this one now. I do feel a strong connection with my body and see my flexibility and core strength increase in combo with beginners pilates. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy the introduction to a very peaceful and uplifting practice.

You have to have patience and practice makes it perfect. Go at your pace and don't give up. If you find this hard try the complete beginners yoga first.This is the best yoga channel!

I have never been this relaxed or flexible. I have been doing this and the COmplete beginner for the past 5 days and my body is so relaxed. I have been having severe back pain and suffered as doctors kept tellingme to take pain killers. With this, by the 3rd day, I can move most of my body part and I think I will be able to do all in the next several days. THANK you so much for sharing such a slow pace movement for someone who is not flexible like me!

I did this video a couple of years back and it was my first time every doing yoga. I was not really expecting anything but then I would direct my breath to pain points and it actually helped. For no reason, I also started crying when I was doing the pose at 5:32. That’s when I was convinced of yoga and its power.

I just wanted to thank you for posting these videos. I have been doing them twice a day only for a few months and I have had such a huge increase in energy and my mood is so much more positive. I used to drink multiple energy drinks of cups of coffee every day, and was so grumpy in the afternoons. I haven't touched caffeine since I've started following these videos and I am much happier. The first time I did this routine I also thought it went too fast (especially the sun salutation), but when you've done it a couple of times you know the poses and now I think it's a perfect speed :) I do this every morning when I wake up, and I'm full of energy and joy afterwards for the rest of the day!

Yoga is meant to be done at the individuals speed and level of flexibility. I also found this to rather difficult to get on my 1st/2nd try, but there's nothing wrong with pausing for a few seconds in a relaxing pose (like childs pose) and then picking back up when one feels ready. Love this channels yoga videos!

This is honestly such a lovely practice - I've been doing it before work for the past week after not having practiced for months and I already feel more supple and flexible. It gets me warm and pumped for the day! For those saying it's too fast - once you get to grips with the movements, it is exactly the right pace. Perhaps watch some instructive sun salutation videos to get on top of it, then try again?

I can do this. I have been practicing various sun salutation versions for over a year and I am familiar with some of the other sequences and the idea of inhaling and exhaling for efficiency . This is for an advanced beginner :)

I've been using your videos in my workout routine, not to lose weight (which ive got cardio and changes in diet for), but for increased muscle strength and flexibility. Before I do my walking everyday, I do your 20 minute yoga for complete beginners instead of warm up stretches. I would recommend this to Jemina or anyone else. Not only is good for warming up your muscles, but its relaxing and makes your cardio workout more enjoyable.

This video is excellent as was the first for beginners. For me the best way to get it was to watch it for as many times as I felt that I needed before I tried it but first I made sure that I had practiced the first beginners video which I felt was a much gentler pace then when I felt ready I started this one . I am not trying to keep up with the young lady she is 40 years my junior so there is no point. I am just practicing at my pace and I am sure that I will get there at some point Thank you

This is a great series. It helps if you've done some yoga before. If you're concerned about the speed, take them one at a time and watch the poses before you do them, then rewind and join in.

Her hair is amazing. I did a five session beginner's course and she had us doing this the first class! Well, not this smoothly, but getting there. I find bringing my knee forward out of down dog impossible now, my hips are so stiff.

You can, but the important point of the knees-chest-forhead is that you give a little push forward before coming into cobra. When you go straight down the tendency is to lie all the way flat to the floor, which you do not want to do. If you go straight down you can try to keep your whole body off the floor. Also you should try to do the little push forward before coming into cobra.

You can go at any pace you like, there is no set rule. It is all about doing what feels right for you. Some people will progress at a faster rate than others.

This is actually a technique that looks easy but is a lot harder than it looks. If you keep practicing you will be able to do it. In the meantime just go as far as you comfortably can.

I though the video was fast but its a repetitive rhythm. I was a bit behind but not bad. I just kept going and afterwards I was so thankful I did. Great stretch for your back.

Also for those frustrated with the pace, there is a yoga or complete beginners video as well. Sun salutation takes a few times to get used to. I suggest watching her do a round and then maybe go find another sun salutation video from a front angle so you have a better understanding.

The cobra is about building strength in the back muscles not in the arms. When you are doing the cobra, hold it as long as you can. If your arms get tired before your back, then you are using the arms too much. The back should get tired first. That is the proper way to do the cobra, no matter how high up you go. The cobra is often confused with other postures, with people thinking they should be going all the way up until their arms are straight.
