Hello Mr.TIM. Its been a great adventure ever since i met you on the internet. It's been my 2nd year doing yoga with you (only you and nobody else ;). I'm from INDIA and i'm 20 .Last year i was diagnosed with functional scoliosis after that yoga practice has become more than just a practice to me it has become my way of living, All thanks to you. Being a control freak, i practice yoga with complete meticulousness giving my 200% every single Day. Since the curvature of my spine is not that high, i successfully manage to perform all the poses correctly and pain-free. But honestly speaking not every flow taught by you suits my back condition.over this course of two years, by repeated practice and careful examination, i've made a list of some of the favorite flows that definitely seem to improve my spine condition. But still, as a loyal practitioner, i have a very humble request for his teacher. Please Please and Please with your own experience and knowledge kindly upload a sequence or pranayama specifically addressing the problem of scoliosis. One more thing I'd like to talk about. Being a college sophomore in India, i frequently get to hear from the people here ( and my peers too ) that yoga is done by older people only and has nothing to do with younger generation. To be Honest, nothing feels more disheartening to me than the fact that people of a country in which yoga originated itself, are taking this life-changing art for Granted. Initially, even i was skeptical when i started doing yoga but now in this very moment only i know what yoga has brought to my life it has completely turned over my perspective towards life. i feel more compassionate,i feel more and more grateful to smallest things in life , i feel less tired, i feel the least anxious and my confidence has boosted three folds it has made a complete man out of me. And i thank you for that. Lots of Love from INDIA!.:)

Tim, these yoga videos are the only routine I have left during a crazy time. I am out of school bc of the Coronavirus and desperately seeking mental stability as well as physical exercise. Your videos, especially the 30-day challenge, of which I am a week in (!), have provided me so much joy recently. I've been practicing yoga with your channel for about a year and a half, but now that I can't leave my house, I have really depended on them for my sanity. So THANK YOU for that!!

The use of the wall to learn twisted Triangle was very helpful and it added an element of supportive safety. Thanks. Twisted sitting is a sister to standing twist. Once in another class you have reminded us that seated twist is like a bottle cap unscrewing. It’s helpful to see you show what the wrong “sad” posture looks like too. That helpful image has stayed us. Thanks for your insight. I echo my fellow commenters.

It was a great practice today. I really appreciate the tutorial for triangle pose. Something I always enjoy ( and I am grateful about)is Tim commenting on his experience teaching... as the attitudes expressed in this or that pose... Thanks for today's video. I couldn't do all the Chaturanga push ups, that was too much for me. I probably need keeping practicing these push ups even if I feel like my Chaturangas are not that bad! It was nice working on Twisted Triangle with the support of the wall. I don't go as low as I used to but it's probably for the best as I'm under the impression that I can find more length in my back this way. This is such a tricky pose! This challenge is really great and it helps me facing the cold winter and all the small illnesses people are suffering from these days. I feel calm and strong. :-)

It helped very much to do the twisted triangle with the wall. One of my sides it is much more difficult to open up and take my arm up while the other side does it much easier. I keep waiting for you to mention twisting up first like a bottle cap. I learned that from you awhile go and it has always helped me to first grow as long as I can while twisting. Thank you.

Thanks Tim. Great practice. My shoulder was a tad sore today at the start but by the end, was feeling better. When doing warm ups while laying face down, could you remind us when to lift the head as well as when to lift the arms and legs? Sounds minor but sometimes I don’t think I’m lifting at the correct time and sometimes it’s hard to see on the video if your head is up or down. Much appreciated. Still loving the challenge! You rock!

Thanks again Tim. I am still loving these tutorials so thank you! A side note which isn't specific to one class but many, is that I occasionally get an up-welling of anger (possibly frustration) in certain poses. This is mirrored sometimes in my life. Your lessons are allowing me to question it, work through negative feelings through the use of movement in yoga and create a new calm within. So, as always, another big thank you for helping me (from afar).

Loved that dandasana (seated) adding the hands (thumbs down palms in front against imaginary wall). Adding flexed arms made a huge difference! My struggle is basic: from downward dog, bring right (or left) foot up in between hands. I can only gets 12 inches or so behind then have to move it up with hand. Feels like tight hamstrings, glutes, weak core, all of the above? THAT is my mini goal. I know I need to shift weight forward on hands and if I go to fingertips I can get close(r). But I know this is also important for the surfing “pop-up” to get that front foot forward and under shoulders - so that that’s a focus. Day 14 done! Still with you. Thanks for sharing these. Really appreciate you / them. Dave (age 52) working to get better, stronger, faster, more flexible every day.

Thank you for the triangle twist help. I always feel like I must have something backwards with that pose. And, like someone else said, the dandasana with the flat hands up was a surprisingly great stretch. I'm always amazed at these seemingly simple stretches I'd never think to do, and how effective they are. Also, the little descriptors, like, "push the floor down". Haha... it's the simple things. I was having some 1st World problems in a 3rd World country today and needed this to bring me down. Thank you.

Since I was home with a sick dog, and had a little more time, I went and grabbed a big wall mirror, and hit pause often to check alignment: • Chaturanga push-ups on our knees, even though I felt completely straight, I was a bent at the hip flexors, straightening it out not only looked better, it made the push-ups easier too • appreciate the cue to keep blades wide on my back as well as reminding us to open our backs, I often concentrate on keeping my chest open, and keeping both open is so much more supported • even though I thought my hips were even during crescent with knee on the floor, the mirror told me that I needed to concentrate on getting my lowered-knee hip crease forward to be even • the twisted triangle on the wall did really help to let me spread into my legs evenly before I put my hand down, if I rush into that pose, I do tend to keep my back heel up a bit because I’m afraid I’m going to fall. Good stuff! Definitely walked away with a happier alignment. Thanks!

You ask for feedback about what works and so I do that after every video, esp if I have struggled with something. The idea of standing by the wall , with the back heel hooked to the floor really helped for the twisted triangle, however, when I bend fwd to keep my hand on the block, my front knee lost traction (for both sides), while my back heel stayed rooted with the knee and leg straight. What am I doing wrong? Another great 35 min practice. Forever grateful, Tim.

Did day 13 & 14 back to back because I skipped a few days so I’m behind and it was awesome. Really feeling the muscles opening up. With twisted triangle and all the “lounge” type poses, what I found help me is having more awareness of my entire body rather than focusing on the main aspect of the pose. By this I mean noticing how my feet and hands land on the mat and specially “activating” my back leg and really digging that back foot (even though the pose suggests leaning forward) really helped me achieve the pose a lot easier, without putting strain on my knees or wrists... makes sense? I hope this helps someone else! Also the detail breakdown of how to get into the poses eventually makes thing click in my head...
