RE: Putting customer on hold to calm them down if they sound frustrated, this is standard practice in some companies. I am not at liberty to say where :D Notice that the call was answered instantly. (WOW factor) Then they listened without interruption. Advised that you will be put on hold. (To calm any frustrated customer, and also listen in to the lairs. We have done this many times. When you are on hold you are still being recorded and heard.) Then come back with results that they know off the top of their head.

Lady in the water was filmed down the street from where we lived at the time, my dads company even built part of the set. They paved the road that you can barely see for .2 seconds in the background of 1 scene :) but my dad got a pic of himself ‘leaning’ against a painted on lamppost so I guess that cool.

As a customer service representative I agree with Lewis. It's not exactly we are told to put people on hold. It's actually bad if you kept a customer on hold for more then 2 minutes before going back on call and letting them know that it would take a couple more minutes or so. But, half of the time it's actually useful to put people on hold to cool off their anger.. The main thing is you need to know what guy would cool off and what customer you need to cool on voice.

Usually they add in extra air to keep the product intact. Lays does this as well. You realize this when you lay the bag on the side, and squeeze on it. Chips don't get fucked.
