Everybody loves Raymond was a weird show about a dysfunctional family that is passed off as normal that I remember people seeming to always have it playing in the background and I watched it for the irony of the tragedy that is Raymond always felt like a fever dream of a megalomaniac 10/10.

+Thomas Natsworthy HA! awesome, i do the same thing, i have all the yogpods and radio interviews etc, and also the "legacy yogpods" (google legacy yogpods, they are actually cut down talky segments from their old WOW footage etc, it is cut together to make it appear almost like yogpods, they are just as awesome!) its so great all this footage, i get annoyed when listening to music for too long, but yogpods i can listen to all week! its kinda annoying for co-workers though, as im constantly laughing and smiling at work :P

I live on the east coast of North America and usually one church at least in every town is really nice and beautiful but when you go into bigger cities you will find a church on every corner that is just a regular building and from what I understand that is because a lot of the mining in my area back in the day there was so many different cultures in different people coming and there wasn't enough room for them in one church so they just threw up buildings as fast as possible and that way they had church is available for all the miners and such

Pyrion is way off the mark wrt Seinfeld. The other characters don't call each other on their petty bullshit very often. If anything, they reinforce each other's petty beliefs, constantly. They live in this negative feedback loop bubble that directly results in them all being horrible people, and it's just an absolute joy to watch. On another note, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the same thing, but turn the dial up to maximum. Fantastic show.

I'm listening to all the podcasts again, and I have to say; penguins are fucking awesome. They are the only bird not afraid of humans, so there are special rules for humans when they encounter penguins (don't move towards them, but if they move towards you, you don't have to move etc.) and they are amazing swimmers (as sips mentioned). It's as if evolution went "Well birds work well in the sky, what if we give them a denser material to fly through, like water?", and as it turns out, they are even more amazing in water. I love penguins, and I feel so much dread because we are killing them at a massive rate. Not too long ago hundreds of thousands of emperor penguins died because, due to climate change, there was a lot more sea ice at Antarctica . And because there was so much ice, the males starved (trying to hatch their eggs) while the females tried to find water to get fish to bring home. Sorry about the downer, but people should realize the devastation we are causing, and not just to humans.

Being a 100% italian I can confirm that most of the stuff PFlax said about Italy is 100% true ;P on the churches matter, you've got to understand that what you see when you look at St.Peter's is much less a symbol of God, and much more the representation of the most powerful institution on Earth at the time. The Catholic Church itself made possible a huge part of the entire western art as we know it today. That not to say that is bad or good they weren't actually picturing God most of the time, it is just a fact. It's complicated.
