"Evil" God-King that, through sheer force of will and slight corruption/withholding of information, keeps a reign over his people eventually overthrown by a cadre of revolutionaries. But wait! Lol, in my campaign, poxmakers claimed 3 daemon souls but I was in a military alliance with the exiles. The exiles declared war on the poxmakers and I was able to wipe them off the map while working with skarbrand.

Slaanesh is like a faulty Monkey's Paw. You get great deals for what tends to be moderate setbacks.

The deals Slaanesh offers are sometimes insanely huge, but the biggest drawback I see is that your AI rivals are very likely to succeed in claiming a soul every Roar, and I know you can't claim more than one per cycle, so if taking the deal means you can't claim claim a soul that cycle then you're probably going to just lose the campaign? I haven't gotten all the way to the end yet so I'm not sure if that's even how the campaign ending mechanic works. I dropped my 30+ hour Kislev campaign for a similar reason. I didn't have an army ready and able to be spared the first time the portals opened (it was my first campaign), on later cycles I was able to claim some souls but realized I couldn't take more than once per opportunity, so, I didn't see any way I could win. Maybe I'm not giving the designers enough credit and it isn't actually that simple.

Honestly, Tom and Ben talking about Weatherspoons sounds oddly similar to the kind of vibe us Canadians have with our Tim Hortons. It's basically like a better starbucks and serves good coffee(and other drinks, like tea) and baked goods/breakfasty sort of foods that are generally good quality. It's inexpensive and is Canada's favorite coffeeshop for a reason. I will defend "Timmy's" until I die, yes. Any other Canadians agree?

Honestly, it depends on where you go, my mother worked at Tims for a year and only quit because she had a co-worker who she couldn't stand because they were a complete dick to those they worked with.

Yeah In Elden ring, I did not go to godrick after Margit, I went to the red zone first, and killed a bunch of the bosses there first, Niel, and Da Wyrm to name a few, so yeah where you need to go is not always clear, but yeah still my fav souls like, Dont think I could go back to earlier titles

I accidentally just completely missed stormveil castle, I assumed the bit after the gatefront site of grace was teaching you to use your horse to escape when in the over world. I ran through and went off to the right and spent the next 20 hours wondering why I'd not really come across any memorable boss encounters.

I basically skipped Caelid (the red zone) because a lot of it was just really annoying. Did two parts my friend mentioned had useful items/abilities, then skipped straight to the main boss. Never went back, even though I'm level 120 now. Not even sure I want to go explore it at this point, since I basically have my items figured out in terms of weapons and fashion.

I think this is the sloppiest, design-wise. Margit is harder than Godrick due to narrow pause windows, bleed goes through shields (and is, of course, meta for pvp and will likely get nerfed,) Torrent doesn’t heal at bonfires, and a fair few enemies don’t take into account player limitations (anything that flies, those speedy sidestep enemies that whip your camera around, and the space-centipede whose lock-on point is too high for anyone with a regular-sized weapon.) FromSoft’s already patched some of the most blatant stuff like the Radhan fight and the lack of smithing stone availability, but I doubt they’ll be able to get everything especially any core gameplay issues like constant poise-locking.

The point on bosses dying in 5 hits, its worth noting a lot of the "bosses" in dungeons and stuff are never supposed to be that hard, they are more like mini bosses really, even when you first encounter them. Besides I don't think the game is better when you go for the 100% mindset, I am just gonna do a few of the things in each area, then start again and explore in a different direction then next time, Open world games dont require back tracking, and rpg open worlds are always goign to feel weird without level scaling if you are going back to old areas.

There's a few Yogs I can't bring myself to watch anymore because of exactly that. Some of them just take any and every opportunity, even if they don't really realize it. He might have gotten better about it since I last watched him, but Smiffy for a stretch was just CONSTANTLY political. Entertainment is so much better when it's untouched by politics, unless that's the entire act from the entertainer, in which case of course only people with their views will like them and people that don't won't. The Yogs, while they have their views which would of course show from time to time, that's only human, their content shouldn't alienate portions of their audience. I say this before even reaching the point you're talking about, it's a view I've always held, regardless of political views.

I stopped watching because of that very reason. Smiff wasnt just getting political, he was being an absolute smug prick about it as well, including to Ross and Trott. Sad to say that even Simon was like this for a long time.
