Makes sense as it would be extra work to edit out the portion of the map not scheduled to be revealed in demo. Also less efficient to make a separate 'half level' just for demo. Also extra work. Much easier and less buggy to just put the whole first level and set up a trigger to end the progression at a certain point, which is what the devs likely did. The demo crashes when you are moving to another zone which suggests it does not have the required files for the 'next zone.'

Well the Demos Normal Difficulty is a bit easy after you get used to the combat mechanics. Its no problem with the Skin-Suit wich removes the armour. I hope the full version has a Hard Mode.

SB has sent me on an interesting journey. I became interested in SB back when it had a different name. Then after seeing mentions of Nier, Yako Taro, etc in regards to SB. I bought automata & replicant this past January to see what it’s about. Started with automata & fell in love with it (still making my way through it) & that compelled me to go to the orchestra concert in Atlanta on March 29th which was a beautiful & amazing experience. Kinda thing you walk away from thinking my life is complete now. God bless you Yako Taro. Nier also got me to do something I’ve never done, play a gatcha game. Going into Nier reincarnation I was like, a gatcha game can’t hurt me like console Nier. Oh boy 💀

NieR: Automata is amazing, the true ending credits sequence is one of the best and most emotional experiences i've ever had in gaming. Stellar Blade most likely won't get anywhere close to Yoko Taro's storytelling but that doesn't really matter if the gameplay is fun and i had a blast with the demo. Can't wait for the 26th.

I played the demo, it was great monster design is stunning and gameplay is smooth and engaging. Eye candy is just that, eye candy. It’s basically icing on top of potential for great game. Only complaint I have really is platforming can be a little too responsive with auto-parkour for like hoppable barriers on narrow ledges. Caused me to have a few difficulties maneuvering for jumps.

the new ff7 would have much higher numbers if released on pc too instead of only ps5 till may. I've been a huge ff7 fan since I got the original the Christmas after it was released. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours on that game. my daughters middle name is Aerith lol. I will be getting the remake as soon as its available on pc. but I haven't owned a console since the ps2, in my opinion consoles are for kids and the majority of people that will get nostalgic over ff7 have likely grown up and got a real computer. that and the fact that ff7 remake part 1 was horrible. it wasn't a remake, they changed way too much. and not in a good way. its a completely different game with almost no similarities other than basic character models and names. that makes people think part 2 will be the same. and it likely is, I'm not getting my hopes up.

​@@sauloegito2 This game does not resemble Nioh 2 combat in the slightest....the irony is that the other Sony exclusive released recently, Rise of Ronin (which is made by the same people who make Nioh 2), actually plays more like Nioh 2. Stellar Blade is very much it's own thing in terms of combat, it's slower than Nioh (2), but faster than the Souls games. It uses a posture system like Seikro but doesn't rely on breaking the posture of an enemy like Seikro. It has a DMC, Bayonetta or Neir Automata vibe while not being a hack and slash game like those games. It's a unique mix that is all it's own which is why it's getting attention from gamers (not the weirdos who care about how the fictional character in a video game looks).

The comparison of Stellar Blade players on the demo to the FF7 Rebirth demo is the biggest reach I have seen in a long time. A new IP that people have no idea how the game works should have more people playing the demo than a established IP that is a remake of a game from over 20 years ago. People know what to expect from FF7 and Rebirth demo was more fan service than a way to introduce people to FF7. The two games are so opposite of each other that its wild to even put them in the same sentence....but this is the internet so I expect people to have wild hot takes on games.

As a streamer, you know from your own streams of the FF7 Rebirth demo that there were people who would not watch your stream of the demo because they didn't want any spoilers. YES, as an established IP FF7 would garner more news media attention but that attention doesn't translate into players especially for long time established players looking to avoid spoilers. The people who already knew they were going to purchase Rebirth weren't playing the demo to get a feel for combat or to demo the gameplay....they already knew how the core gameplay worked from Remake and Intergrade. Many long time fans were happy to find out about the additions to systems and combat from the full game. For Stellar Blade, many people went into the demo looking for how the gameplay and the systems of interaction worked. There are a number of videos online where peoples reaction to the demo was, "hey this game is more than just eye candy and DMC style have and slash." The demo for Stellar Blade was truly a demo insofar as it gave people who were not sure of how the game played the opportunity to play a portion of the game. FF7 Rebirth demo was fan service because the majority of people who played the demo already knew how the game played....they didn't need a demo to understand the gameplay mechanics. We know people were actively avoiding the demo for Rebirth because we know that people will actively avoid spoilers for story focused games and FF7 Rebirth is very much a story focused game, whereas the story of Stellar Blade is still largely a mystery as the demo didn't yell us anything more than what was already established in the trailers and SoP showcase. People didn't play the Stellar Blade demo looking for story... they wanted to see how the decidedly action focused adventure game played, and it worked to show players that the game was good not just because of how the character looks. FF7 Rebirth didn't need to convince people who already knew what FF7 was, that Rebirth was good...many of us knew it would be great on announcement because of Remake and Intergrade. Lastly Stellar Blade would have gotten more attention on the demo because it is a new IP. No one in this community has played Stellar Blade, so everyone is interested in seeing if the much hyped new PS exclusive IP is worth the money. With Rebirth.... either you loved Remake and you were/had already purchased Rebirth, or you weren't interested in the retelling of FF7 story and the demo wasn't going to convince you otherwise. Either way the fact that it was an established IP made it less incentivized to play the demo because you already knew where you stood with the game. The FF7 Rebirth demo either made core fans who were going to buy the game anyway more excited for the game or it did nothing for the people who were already not interested in the game, or in getting a PS5 for it. The fact that people already had an idea about the game changes how the demo is seen, example....A demo of the next CoD is gonna get less people who will play it, than a demo for the game Judas. People know what to expect from CoD but they don't know what to expect from Judas, therefore more people are likely to play the Judas demo if people say it's amazing than the next CoD demo because either CoD hits with you or it doesn't....you don't need a demo for it to figure it out.

@@D3adv0iid i didn't ask for metroid, cause I had no clue what gender was the hero, and i thought for a long time that it was a man so I had no issue. For horizon, I did ask tho. I have no problem with women's, i just like playing as a man, because I am a man and therefore I feel more immersive to play a char of my gender. I know it's archaic logic, but it is how I am, how my brain work^^ Imo the gender doesn't matter for the story , in barely every games, (i think of mass effect for exemple) it's just a matter of preferences, therefor i wish we more often had the choice. and this is why i ask these kind of question. Hope you can understand me now and why i ask this.

So watched a few gameplay videos. It looks like a generic action game. Not bad but nothing special. Not trying to be negative. But why is this getting so much positive attention? Nothing new here from what i see. Just a good action game. But the hype seems oddly huge for no reason. Ps. I'll note i think nier was just an okay action game that was just carried by some 4th wall twist. Maybe I'm just jadded and seen all this before and didn't see it as clever when done by neir.

Because everything else is worst. Starfield? Suicide Squad? Diablo IV? And sorry but game doesn't need to be some groundbreaking deal. Ppl want a game that is fun to play. Stellar looks like that.

Culture wars. That and its being backed by Sony themselves. The right wing culture warriors that would even mention this game in the same sentence as the games they have grievances with like Star Wars: Outlaws and Suicide Squad will get filtered out fast by Asian Sci-Fi tropes when it comes out probably.

Also there's a lot that could be considered just as good outside of those over hyped obviously going to Be bad games. Sony need to stop wasting so much money on square enix making their game exclusive for playstation. Then they complain about rising prices on their video games. Just buy them or buy this studio better since this studio is small and look at the game the created.
