Damn, Yongnuo lenses was so bad and soft when I got my DSLR lens 35mm F2 in 2017. Now they're killing it with mirrorless lineups. Good to see a new good budget options in the market again.

Hi Christopher. ¿Could you make a short video about which brands allow to use APSC lenses in full frame mode? I know Sony allow it. But Canon, Nikon or Panasonic L mount I don't know. For me it's important because APSC lenses are smaller and cheaper and I'll crop for stabilization anyway.

Nikon does not allow DX lenses to be used in FX mode.

The "Pro" here probably means it's up to the pros to shoot around the massive longitudinal CA, flares and closer focusing ranges. Good thing is this lens, like most of average lenses in the market out there becomes a decent lens when stopped down to f2.8 or f4.

Thankfully this review has not triggered a buyer's remorse for me. I've been too stingy to get the Sigma 56/1.4 for its 1.4 aperture. Instead, I went for an "el chipo" TTartisans 56/1.8 for my Sony a6700. No regrets. I wish someone made a good quality 56/1.2 with autofocus. F/1.0 is a dream only, I suppose. What I'm saying is a dream for this "full frame look" on an APS-C camera. As to a someone's previous comment: any lens stopped down gets sharp enough eventually. Anyone on a fringe for low light soft images?

With Chinese lenses especially, we went from only Sony E mount variants available, to Nikon Z getting it first - and this isn't the first time. It happened to many other Chinese lenses. I wonder whether it's firmware related.

It's just opportunity. The Z mount has less options so users are likely to buy these. E mount is saturated. Prioritizing the mount with the least competitors.

would you recommend this lens over meike 55mm f1.4? I know meike 35mm f1.4 ff going to release soon. It will be nice if I have the same glass coating and it'll make my colour grading easier but now I use yn 35mm and 85mm.

Depending on the shape of the distortion this could be easily corrected in post. Yes you loose some sharpness, but same is true for in camera corrections. So why not do the sharpness tests after applying some reasonable distortion corrections in Lightroom (or C1,...)?

Yongnuo just casually dropped a bomb! Wireless pull focus and start/stop recording integrated into the LENS, in a bright aperture, auto focus, affordable. I’m kinda liking this concept.

I hope Yongnuo release their wides on Z Mount soon. The selection is extremely lacking and the 11mm F1.8 with a Z30 would be a seriously capable vlogging kit

Yongnao is a best peromance lens from china but I hate this brand because Yongnao snub Fuji user. 50mm f1.8 da dsm pro? should be f1.4 "pro" 85mm f1.8 df dsm the best performance & price of Yongnao (Dxomark) don't have Fuji mount .
