Awesome ones! I’m really enjoying this particular cab pack! York Audio has become my “go to” IR’s.

There's some mojo with that PRS for sure. That thing definitely has it's own character in nearly all the videos you're using it in. Don't let it go.

Hi, Leon, just posted this comment on Ryan from the Plague Scythe Studios channel´s video on the Marshall Bluesbraker Circuit in response to his post " In Defense Of Down Tuned Guitars " of Sept. 2019: For everyone´s information: In the book " Performance Techniques Of The Baroque Period " ( can´t remember the authors,- sorry - look it up ) used in at least European music conservatories for teaching classical musicians and conductors performance practices during the various historical periods it is clearly stated that the tuning standard of the Baroque period had A defined @ 415Hz! That means that Bach himself in developing and composing his "Das Wohltemperierte Clavier" ( The Well Tempered Piano ) would for his definition of equal temperament tuning as the foundation of music have had A@415Hz as his starting point. This means that anything- anything! - out of the 400 years of classical repertoire in keeping with performance standards of bygone times should have had and should have a much darker timbre to it as it´s starting point for sound generation would have been 415Hz lowering the A with how many semi- and microtones? Over the course of a couple of centuries A has sneaked itself up to 440Hz but it was never the starting point for the sound and timbre of western music. 415Hz was! Should end any further discussion on the justifiability of experimenting with different tunings right there!

Yeah most people hands a Sesame Street level of understanding about pre modern music unfortunately.

Point of course being that the "tuning purists" don´t really have a case,- their "correct" way of tuning is 29 cycles off from the get go compared to the standard of reference as it was defined by the originator himself and therefore renders their entire argument null and void. Personally I recalibrated my strobe tuner, my string instruments ( basses, guitars, mandolin ), my keyboards and synths and any kind of reference to A@440hz anywhere in my DAW to A@415Hz just to see what it would sound like. Gave a slightly darker ( warmer) timbre to all of my usual songs; any kind of acoustic strings stuff sounds especially beautiful,- less sparkly and chimey - more round, full toned and mellow. Perfect for folksy stuff. Worked perfectly for metal too,- especially any kind of drop tuned, down tuned or extended range stuff- even lower than usual,- with moderate gain in the low end very full toned without flabbing out. Needs very heavy string gauges though - for tone, you know...

These sound KILLER. Judging by this video, these put OwnHammer and ML Soundlab IRs to shame...

Hey been enjoying your vids for a bit now. I love your tone for your intro! I’m wondering if it’s possible to send you a clip of my guitar tone and you tell me what I can do to achieve a better tone? I’d send you all the specs and gear I’m using. No one has been able to help me(no response) so anything would be appreciated

Hi Leon, when you record your videos do you process the sound at all through a daw like adding effects or double tracking guitars, or is what we are hearing just pure raw sound from axe fx 3?
@LeonTodd
@LeonTodd 4 жыл бұрын
The sounds here are unprocessed.

@@adamkendra7182 I did, it's stellar! I have a Marshall TV with 25gb's that I've shot and the YA is very different from it. Great for those late 70's/early 80's "brown" tones.

@@LeonTodd My daughter has her first cello "concerto" today (in about 2 hours 😬). I'm probably moren nervous than she is. After 3 months, she will play "Love me tender" and "A french folk song". I had to learn how to play it, just so I can kinda help her with some basic issues. But man it does wonders to your intonation. I regret not learning it when I was younger.

@@headkickko609 that's awesome! It's such a tricky instrument to play and it has such an incredibly moving timbre.
