Really enjoyed this thank you. You looked strong coming back down the second out and pack - passed a fair few people. I did York in 2023 to help a friend complete her first ever marathon. I’m am returning this year to give it a good go and try for a pb

Awesome, glad you've enjoyed watching, how it brought back happy memories!! Ay, I did feel good this time, though it always feels tough after that out and back when you head down those lonely country lanes! Ah, cool, hope the conditions are accommodating for the pb attempt!

First of all can I say a massive thank you for taking the time to record this. What a brilliant video. Absolutely loved it. Huge congratulations Matt on an awesome performance. Such a brilliant effort. Didn’t spot myself on the video but did see a few familiar faces, including my twin brother. 🙂 Thanks again and best of luck at your next event.

Bloody Brilliant! 👍🦾🏃💙🤍 Built into it, great pacing and even split it (what happened @11 miles? Gave me a fright there!) Intelligently run as well.....staying off the cambers....running the apex when needed and seeking the bit of shade when available...👍🦾MASSIVE well done Matt great running!

Cheers Stuart! Mile 11, hmm, that was probably the second quick toilet stop ! Yeah, I like running on the crown of the road as much as possible makes it feel a lot more comfortable for the longer races. And thank you again!

Ah cool, hope you had a great marathon, how did you get on? And thank you!

@@MattClarry ah thank you!! Was a mixed experience - first marathon so was mega exciting, but cramped up around 16km and they didn’t let up no matter what I tried so was a painful race. That being said, I’m so proud of the fact that I got through it! Ran 3:37 :)
@MattClarry Жыл бұрын
Ah, I know that feeling, I had calf and quad cramps for final third of the Leeds Marathon. A 3:37 is a great time, not least if you were cramping from 16k in !
