It just needs speeding up. If they can't get a decision with VAR in 10 seconds. Go with the Ref or Linesmans onfield decision.

Amad was really poor yesterday. He lost the ball a lot an didn’t do anything with it. When he passes his man his pass was very bad and he mostly lost the ball or passed backwards or sideways. 6.5 is very generous of give him a 4.5.

I get the Hojlund criticism but I feel that it's our mistake, i.e. our incompetent board's mistake. Hojlund screams as a transitional ST, that's why ETH got him. Hold-up play is not his forte (doesn't mean he shouldn't be atleast avg with it). You could associate misprofiling with almost every Man United signing except Bruno. Obviously, Bruno being a world class player is the reason, but we bought him when Ole had adopted a counter attacking style and Bruno seamlessly integrated because IT PLAYED TO HIS STRENGTHS!! (Bruno with no. 18 was something else). It's because of this decade long misprofiling, impatience and financially diabolical decision making that we are termed as the graveyard for talent. Hope Hojlund does better but more importantly, Amorim realises what exactly he is good at and plays to his strengths (he has many!!)

I also don't understand why Onana's initial save from Ndidi isn't counted as a save - it was actually a pretty good save from a shot that was well hit and came through a lot of traffic, so he would have seen it late. The thing that is consistently annoying me about our play, is how often our players - pretty much all of them - have a poor first touch. It allows the opposition to put on more pressure, and it's certainly a contributing factor in why we pass backwards so much.

I love what Ruben is doing off the pitch a lot more than on it. I totally get the system change and sticking with it, that's all well and good, but our players don't cut the mustard on the whole. We gotta pray to the good lord above for a cup run. Love listening to ste's take on each game

I actually wanted Martinez to get a go in there as well before the injury. We have to try to find a partner for Ugarte until the end of the season. A number 8 is an essential signing in the summer.

Hi Steve, on Onana I have to disagree. I thought that his distribution was terrible. He rarely made long clearances, that I thought he was supposed to be good at, and often he put his defence under pressure by short passes to players that themselves were under pressure. It stifled much of the game that could have been more attacking, starting from the back.

Dalot may not be on top form but he’s always getting more harshly judged than others. Although not as steady I prefer him to mazaroui who never really offers anything influential. At least you can see dalot getting an assist and making incisive runs. Not half as bad as mainoo, hoijland etc

Maguire was AWFUL once again. He scores an offside goal and somehow that absolves him. As early as the second minute he's marking absolutely noone when defending a cross, he's not closing down, he's just in no man's land. He's fucking dreadful week in week out. He was a 4/10 today and that feels generous.

Bruno needs to have better positioning.. Ugarte has to cover for 2, run for 2 etc… passing will naturally be off when you’re exhausted. He’s basically been a solo midfielder for last few games. I really want Amad and Dorgu at Wing back.

Even just moving Dalot to the RWB and Dorgu on the left should make a massive difference. Just this would probably benefit everyone else. ..creating width, crossing into the box for the striker, allowing the AMs space to create chances. I'm not sure Dalot is going to be a long term wing back. We'll see how he adapts to the role vs his traditional RB role. Quenda or Frimpong would be amazing signings at RWB. Bruno and Mainoo are both more suited to the creative spot in the front 3 over the deeper holding progressor. But Mainoo is way better in that role than Bruno, simply for positional and defensive ability. Bruno is miles better as a progressor, but just leaves a big hole when he wonders off. Getting Ederson or someone like that in the summer would be amazing to compliment Ugarte.

I've started to think both Zirkzee and... to a lesser degree Hojlund, are avoiding 'the box' due to low confidence in their ability to finish clinically. It's a strange one with Hojlund as he looked so much better last season. I think it's clear that Zirkzee is the most gifted of the two. Would sell them both.

Dalot showed improvement in the second half, earning him a 6/10 in my opinion. However, he still appears uncomfortable and teams continue to exploit the space between the left center-back and left wing-back, an area he's consistently caught out in.

I said this last round, that premier league refs shouldn’t ref cup games without VAR. they don’t make decisions anymore, because they rely on VAR now too much. If your muscle memory is to keep your flag down, you won’t put it up, even if you know it’s offside.

Yoro did not stop El Khannouss for Leicester 1st goal. De Ligt should start over Yoro. Dalot need to be bench. Let Amad play RW. Dorgu LW. Ugarte always gets card in almost every match. Every rating of the players and the explanation of the deficiencies points to the Manager. When you point out things like playing two players on the same side who are both left footed and want to come inside, that’s a Manager decision. When you talk about players seemingly not knowing what to do, that’s on the Manager. Everything our host points out as a deficiency of player points back to the Manager. Continuing to ask Hojlund and Zirksee to perform skills that they don’t possess…is on the Manager. Yet, the fans point the fingers at the players over and over again and let this Portuguese Fraud slide by because he’s “refreshingly honest”. The man is like a one hit wonder. All he knows is a 3-4-3 and his system which he will stick with till the end as the ship goes down. Guess the plan is to get rid of most of the team and bring in most of his sporting Lisbon team.
