It never dreamed of being a handheld, and you are all wrong about it and I hate Nintendo fans. Sometimes the majority opinion is actually ignorant, and this is one of those cases. Along with Sonic Adventure being "good", until those people finally grew up and realized that it wasn't. On a side note, it's sad how I'm going to have to wait a decade before people en masse realize that Breath of the Wild was actually largely a mess. Jim Sterling also gave it a 6 out of 10, saying it was a little above average and that he still liked the game, and he got an overwhelming amount of backlash including death threats for it. : /

@@travisretriever7473 The nice thing about Nintendo is that their games that aren't Star Fox tend to iterate on their core design instead of just rehashing it like, say, Ubisoft tends to. If you've played a Yoshi game you'll have a pretty good idea of what the others are like in the series.

4:30 The problem that consumable costumes would have is that people wouldn't use the rarer costumes at all, because of the usual "it's too good to be used"-problem with unique but consumable items. Personally, i'd uncouple the bonuses from the costume, so when you find a new costime, it'll unlock the costume and also unlock the stat bonus, so you can choose which costume you want to wear and combine it with any stat bonus you like.

For those of you interested in the last little bit about his book. Read it, it's a fun book. Not quite as good as "Mogworld" and "Will save the Galaxy for Food" but still really good. Ideally get the audiobook version because Yahtzee himself narrates it and it really ties the whole book together.

It's much in the same way (J)RPGs taught us that if the way to advance the plot is right then you go left because there might be a chest/item. Since then we scour the perimeter for all possible hidden/bonus items. It's FOMO before FOMO was a social media thing and had a name.
