Did you check for binding in roll? You may wish to consider that, when you put it together, to replace the rear bush of the top arm at the diff housing, with a more easily flexible heim joint. This is because, upon direction change, as the vehicle rolls side to side, even a little, is when the top arm will bind, so it'll try to pick-up/unload the inside rear wheel.

Heim joints or it will bind raise one wheel you'll see, it will bend or break stuff or just shagg out bushes quickly. But other than that looks good.

Probably one of the best presentations on KZbin. Considering that you have done it all by yourself quite impressive..no matter what.. I must admit was doubting you at first...but you surpassed that.. Good quality welding, your brackets are great and hand made.. We see so many using CNC to cut...seems to take the fun and hard work away. One appreciates it more using your method. I wish to do the same at some point. The build will be from scratch..jeep XJ rear axle, as you show coil overs four link, but just rear wheel drive. 2.5 diesel engine and a twin leading arms up front probably made up hubs too . Just a 2 seater. Similar to look of an old Bugatti car fish type tail.. That era. But mine will be a soft 60% off roader..and 40%tarmac. Great build keep it up.. Simon a Brit in Spain .

I highly recommend using a heim or some sort of joint that can misalign on the top of the axle. if your axle articulates, your nut will come undone. if you dont want to use a heim, synergy makes these awesome dual durometer bushings that flex very nicely, and don't need grease and done squeak.

Very cool setup! I've never seen a 3link with that upper arm! Eliminates the need for a panhard! I see you have a MIG and a TIG, how do you decide what machine you want to use for what job? Obviously larger jobs are easier with the MIG, but I noticed you welded the links with your TIG. Wondering if maybe that's hotter and that's what distorted the threads maybe?

What's it like working backwards and upside down from your normal projects? lol I have 3 or 4 favorite channels yours being one of course. I watch Fab Rats and they are in Nevada. Everything they do revolves around four wheeling, rock crawling and offroad recovery along with Matt's Off Road Recovery. This is really different watching you do the suspension frame off. Looks so much easier! I've seen those guys weld, bend, ratchet strap broken vehicles in the middle of the desert in some really contorted ways. Pretty crazy and ballsy stuff in their neck of the woods! Looks Great so far! I'm waiting to see if you will keep the grunge! lol

You’ve done a beautiful job as always but I’m not sure about the upper link. I’m not sure how well it will handle the sideways forces on the axle. I agree that without heims as the body wants to lean on turns it will be trying to lift the inside wheel. I think it will also cause the vehicle to chatter around turns if on rear wheel hits a bump. If the brackets don't get torn off the frame.
