I have listened to this 2 times before falling asleep, and each time I did I had a dream where I either had metaphorical representations of something that distressed me or re-experienced a traumatic event. I read that therapy is about getting one to re-live a traumatic event and then to release the emotion, so this must be my brain's way of trying to heal my emotional body.

Yes having unsettling dreams, especially at the beginning of listening to these Reprogram Your Mind While You Sleep tracks, is very normal. This is part of the healing process. If you can imagine that your brain has had a certain set of thoughts settled there for so long and now you are shaking them up. You are unsettling them, you are sorting through the negative thoughts and releasing them. You are replacing them with new, positive thoughts. This is part of healing process and necessary to reprogram your mind for the better. It is therefore very normal for some negative images/thoughts/feelings to come through in your dreams as you release them. Trust the process my friend. You are safe and all is well. I just understood that my problem in life is not my tinnitus but my need to control everything and the need to deny that this sound is on my ears. I want to let go all of this anxiety, fear and sadness. Even if the sound doesn’t go away , i want to surrender and let go these feelings and accept myself as I am. Tinnitus will not hurt me is just my body screaming for help :)
