I'm suffering from a severe dry skin condition named ichthyosis that affects my entire body. I know he'll bring me out of it and the suffering pain and torment I go through for 20 years(since birth) will be paid off and worth it. knowing it and truly believing it is hard. I also watched Benny Hinn, AA Allen, Todd White, John Mellor, Thomas Fischer, John G lake, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth e.Hagin and all this Healing Evangelist. I study healing ministry and everything related to it because of this "revelation" I get from Him. I am interested to minister healing not just for myself but for others, i find it's so cool and you get to love people and demonstrate it more than just speaking gospel into their ears, they witness and believed, full proof. but question is HOW?

hi everyone God bless your day of the Lord who woke us up. my comment to the women who mention about God not taken the throne out from Paul side OK look at the Grace of God and how God use Paul for his Glory Amen. my dad was very sick all the way up until he pass away. we must also understand that God will use people to Get his Glory God is a healer but also God will is more then what we would always want to understand God will is much more then what we want . God is a healer and much more understand that God does whatever he chooses to do and when .we got to stand on faith. just because some healings don't work does not mean that God is not doing anything . so where is our faith don't give up. Please watch a short amount, so worth it! When I first saw the length, I thought it was very long. I just started it, not knowing if it would be good or not, nor knowing if I would even listen to it all. I enjoyed it so much, I just listened to all of it in one sitting, even though I need to wake up in 4 and half hours. I've been pursuing to get my heart to have courage to do this stuff again, and it's taken years, and after hearing and seeing Art Thomas equipping others to do it, I'm so excited to go out and do it again! It's a miracle in itself that my heart has gotten to this point in just one video, I've been listening to anointed people who Art Thomas learns from, but because he seems like an average joe who isnt a big time minister like the ones I listen to, it made it seem more reachable. And after hearing the biblical truth and seeing how literally everyone can do it, I'm pumped to walk this thing out!

Is there any difference in praying for somebody and praying for yourself for healing? I find when I take the same authority for myself. NOTHING happens.. Curious on your thoughts.

There's no difference in terms of potential to heal. You can heal yourself as much as you can heal others with faith. That said, many a times because of wrong teaching we have received from many misguided Christians we disqualify ourselves subconsciously because we are acutely aware of our own many shortcomings and weaknesses, and the tendency is to think that those will act as barriers to our own healing. If you can get rid of the belief that because I don't have it altogether, I can't be healed, then you can heal yourself just as easily as others. The crux of the gospel is that Jesus gave us his righteousness by grace through faith, so even when we don't have it altogether, we are still the righteousness of God, IN CHRIST. Believe that, and healing will flow.

In my personal experience, Sometimes I've prayed for self healing, and God has answered me and sometimes He doesn't do it, and does it through the prayer of others. He knows why He has chosen to do it either method. For me, I had experienced self healing many times before I hurt my wrist snowboarding, and had been contending for a while. One day prayed for this other I believer who I had just met who had a broken arm, and He got healed. And then he said he wished he could have that faith to do that, and I said well you can try praying for my wrist and see if anything happens. This was before I had a sound biblical understanding on healing like Art Thomas was preaching. Many others tried praying for my wrist and It wasn't healed yet, until this guy prayed for me. I was shocked after I tested out I was healed. He was shocked to. Non of us had the full faith for my healing, but I was desperate to try, and seeing this guy get his arm healed and his desire to walk in it, I gave him a shot, even though I wasn't fully sure it would happen.

Bottom line I'm trying to say is that I don't necessarily think one method is more effective than the other standalone. But that its case by case based on what God wants to accomplish. Sometimes self healing is for our own faith journey develop, but also I believe sometimes God chooses to heal us through others in the body of Christ because it will equip and strengthen their faith to do what God is calling them to. But also I believe, there are times He chooses to heal us through the body of Christ so that we will remember how God wants us to stay connected to each other to support and love each other. Sometimes we get hurt by the church, and want to disconnect from the whole body and just be us alone with Jesus. But God doesnt want us to be alone and isolated, but thrive in the Heavenly Kingdom family He wants to build, so He sometimes chooses to release His provision of healing and other heavenly blessings through the body of Christ so we remember that we all need each other and cannot do this alone. He wants us all to be United, supporting each other with love towards Him, and each other. Great question, hope this was edifying and helpful for you!

well I'm a supporter of Arts Ministry and I agree with what he says but here's the real truth there should never be a time when you pray for someone and they don't get healed Jesus healed them all and if Jesus is in us there's no excuse to ever have anyone not healed it's not healing roulette and somebody someday is going to have to get to the bottom why Christians aren't walking in the spirit the way Jesus did in fact he said the greater things we would do because he went to the father so now we have the Risen Christ at us not just the Christ who was working under the Old Testament prophets we have the Risen Christ and we all to be walking in power and somebody's got to figure out why 99% of the church is it

If Jesus is in us then NO Christian would ever be sick again ! sadly there are millions who are.Playing God is dangerous and word of faith preachers do not preach a true gospel.It is always GODS WILL BE DONE AND NOT OUR WILL BE DONE.We can ask for healing but there is no guarantee we will get it.Only in the glorified body if we are given eternal life will there be no sickness.That will only happen when Jesus returns for the judgement and resurrection - nobody knows that day or hour.By his stripes you were healed means healed of SIN - not a promise of physical healing.

Hi Art, I'm not sure if you are still responding to comments here but I have been so inspired by healing videos and believe what you are saying. The only objection I've heard from people is that God did not heal Paul from his "thorn in his side" he left it there. So they say it is not always Gods will to heal someone. You are saying it is definitely Gods will to heal everybody. God is JEHOVAH RAPHA after all. I don't want to lack faith that God WILL heal if I am carrying out this commission but I don't know how to answer why God doesn't heal sometimes if we are asking even using His name, the authority He gives us. The churches I've been part of have never talked about us having the power or authority to heal others, we always just "pray about it" or "pray with someone" but not in the way you do. I asked a question of my husband a few years ago "Why aren't we healing people in Shoprite (our grocery store at the time) if the new testament church is doing these things and it says to heal the sick?" He said because people are afraid of the real power of God. I was afraid I admit, feeling like I was incapable, I was missing something I felt. I don't really understand it. From what I see in these videos it is happening! Can a person pray for themselves? I have a migraine right now and have been praying, it kind of fades away and then comes back. Are we not supposed to pray for ourselves? Ive been commanding it to go away and then praying for God to take it away and nothing and then praying the Holy Spirit come so I can be healed in His presence. I feel like a crazy person now, like a schizophrenic prayer person. But I want to have more faith. I want to see the results of God and be able to minister to others. I don't feel like anyone is on the same page with me on God's healing. My sister said she feels it isnt Gods will to heal her (she has so many health issues and I see its oppression on her), but she thinks it isn't Gods will because He used it to build character in her in the past and prevent her from doing things God didn't want for her. Then she mentioned Paul. I wanted to pray for her over the phone, we are across the country but I am still discovering this and she didn't seem like she had faith in Gods healing so I was frustrated. the scripture says "Are any sick among you? Go to the elders of the church to lay hands on them" So I always thought to be healed miraculously you needed to go search out the elders of the church. You are an elder (or a pastor) right? It makes sense for you to have this gift from God, but can we all have this? I'm sorry this is so long but I really have nobody to talk to about this

+Lori C - Great questions! Let's start with the last one: You do not have to be an elder of a church to minister healing. One of my favorite things to do is have someone who just gave their life to Jesus -- especially a young child -- demonstrate how to minister healing. (For more on this, check out an old video of mine at kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXq8n4yir96Sr80.) I believe the reason James sent the sick Christian to the elders (meaning "mature Christians") was simply because mature believers should know how to minister healing. Unfortunately, in the American Church at least, it seems the more time we spend in church, the less we expect God to heal. If James were writing today, he might send you to the kids in your church since they still believe in healing :-) As for ministering to yourself, you're certainly allowed to! I used to have scars all over my face until after ministering to myself for about a month (check out the full story here: supernaturaltruth.com/evidence-of-scars-being-healed/). However, with that said, the only biblical prescription for a sick Christian is to go to other mature believers for ministry (James 5:14-15). So if you aren't successful at ministering to yourself, there's no reason to feel bad because the responsibility was never yours in the first place. The responsibility for your healing is in the hands of other mature believers. As for Paul's thorn in the flesh, the simple answer is that there is no logical, biblical reason to believe that his thorn was a physical sickness that God wouldn't heal. The long answer, with all the explanations, though, won't fit in this comment. I wrote an entire book on it :-). Thank you! As for my migraine yesterday, just FYI, it was worsening throughout the night even after rebuking it in Jesus name countless times all day long and etc like I told you. My husband even prayed for me and then we tried to sleep but I knew I wouldnt sleep, if you've ever experience this you only want to either die or be unconscious to escape the pain. It was also making me so sick to my stomach, my stomach was burning and I was going to throw up (of course this happens when I begin to really research God's healing right, I haven't had one of these for 5 months) So I got out of bed because I wasn't going to spend my night like this, and I found CBN's 24 hour prayer line and called. I was like shaking and drooling out of agony if you still can't picture this. A woman comes on the line and after she prays for me and I can hardly remember her prayer because I couldn't focus but I know she prayed for healing "from the top of my head to the tips of my toes", rebuked the sickness in Jesus name and prayed that I would get rest. After I hung up the phone, I could not feel the pain, I just felt foggy. My stomach was still in that knot and I went and laid down and closed my eyes and saw lights making patterns in my eyelids, got knocked out for about a minute and woke up and the pain in my head was totally gone. I woke up many times throughout the night having crazy dreams but each time I woke up I felt better and better, my stomach and all the tension eventually calmed down. I was so afraid to get out of bed this morning remembering the pain I had been in but I count this as a miraculous healing of God. I never stopped believing God could and wanted to heal me but sometimes it takes so long that I wonder what is wrong with us or our prayers when it didn't work?? It wasn't until I called CBN which I've never done in my life but I did out of desperation. God is amazing, but I didn't see instant healing. In fact it worsened. I thought to myself let me just wait for my husband to come home and then surely his prayer will work. But no, it made it worse lol. This can be very frustrating. Can't wait to read your book

Something I have learned from Andrew Wommack ministries, is that the devil fights back. So that worsening when you reseach God or pray more or reach out for God more, I feel strongly that the enemy fights harder, attacks your body more and makes you feel worse to make you believe that "it's not working" and to stop trying, you know what I mean? You're so right, I feel like a crazy person praying for myself all day long and rebuking this and that throughout my day and it doesnt really work...well it feels like it doesnt right away. +tae lee Hi Tae Lee, Thank you so much for your prayers, I really appreciate your comments. The migraine and stomach issue was healed when I called into a 24 hour prayer line and a woman prayed for me over the phone. I would normally call my family but it was too late at night. Art from the video said that we should not have to pray for ourselves all the time, it is the duty (and privelege) of other believers to pray for you, and I believe that when someone prays with you for your situation it is very powerful because that is the way God intended it to be. We should be united in prayer and in it together to help one another. I agree that it seems that the enemy is fighting for our prayers not to be heard and it talks about this in the bible in Daniel 10. Here is a link to a bible study on how angels fight battles, like they did for Daniel. www.biblestudy.org/prophecy/do-angels-fight-battles.html It says this being was sent by God the first day Daniel began to pray about his issue, but Daniel didn't receive his answer until three weeks later. This makes me think it happens with our healing too. There is a spirit world that is against God and against us and wants us to believe God isn't there or that God doesn't care. Of course this is not true! Jesus left his glory in heaven and suffered and died for us. HE LOVES US! Keep fighting back with prayer. I have to remember this too. And it is easier for the devil to fight us when we are alone, on our own because there is power in numbers. So, I am praying for you too and we are not crazy! lol God is good and He is for us, not against us. And by His stripes we are healed :) Amen

You posted this one year ago. I am wondering how much you have advanced in a year, please post a reply. I have been reading books and listening to many youtube teaching videos for three years and in a Pentecostal church for 35 years but cannot seem to effect any healings. I believe this is because my church has taught healing legalistically: I have layed hands on and prayed for others, layed hands on and commanded healing--many times, but all (except twice) unsuccessfully. I had five children, so I had a lot of unsuccessful practice. Their sicknesses always lasted the whole course of time. I think the answer is to have someone who is effective in the faith come alongside me and go out on the streets and pray with me. My thought here is that the demons would see the faith-filled person standing behind me and either leave when I pray, the demon knowing that "If I don't leave now I'm going to have to leave when brother or sister Powerhouse prays, so I might as well leave now." And if the demon didn't leave, it would when the other person prayed. Eventually I would become full of faith I'm sure. (We see Saul who sent people to kill David: when they came in proximity to prophets they prophesied, supporting my thought that going out with someone who is effective in healings is the remedy to someone who is languishing in failure. I'm beginning to believe that most churches that believe in healing preach faith right out of people. (Where else would people learn about wine for Timothy's stomach, Paul's thorn in the side, and Epiphrus have I left sick at (somewhere)? Only church.)
