My mother and I are both very spiritual, and we talk to each other alot about spiritual topics. Growing up my parents didn't do everything right, and we both agree about that. But one thing we also agree on is that if they did things "better" I might not be the person I am today. Ironically, if my parents raised me perfectly I would have most likely been a huge jerk who was spiritually unaware. I am not sure if that makes sense to everyone, but they way I like to put it is everyone like sweet cakes, but in order to make a cake you have to add a little salt to the recipe. I believe that everything that happens to us is divine causality that serves as a means to an end in molding us into become the 3D character that we planned to play here before we were even born. So in order for you to be Suzanne Non-duality your parents had to raise you the way they did, so that you can focus on The Absolute and where you really come from.

Thanks for that, Suzanne. I've come to conclude also, that I shouldn't overthink, doubt, or judge "my story" but instead to honor it, FEEL it, and breathe. It never seems to do any good to pretend that something I experienced as true isn't true, even if there's a part of me that can see the bigger picture. It needs to be HONORED, FELT, and breathed through. BTW, your beautiful tree has English Ivy growing on it, which, although attractive and evergreen, will very aggressively kill it. (Ask the tree if in doubt.)

All of this is about escape. Escape from suffering or dissatisfaction on any variable degree. And then when addressing mental health for example...most of what we do is reactionary without challenging the detriment of these humancentric class structures, systems and status quo. Rather than change the structure or system which inherently cause more suffering or disparity...we then chase humancentric concepts of 'being' or 'is' or detachment from self (eventhough the subjective perceiver is one and the same as the delusion of detachment and the temporary act of claiming to do so) We on a fundamental conditioned level...perpetuate, tolerate, prescribe, suffer, endure, live out these very factors which are objectively, for not only what we perceive as human context-living, but to nature external to the human identity-body, detrimental to our very wellbeing, thriving...and continue to perpetuate the gains (e.g material), reactions or escapes from the suggested determinants/issues. For suffering or dissatisfaction to exist? Sustain..., they need for there to be an escape (can be anything tangible or intangible). For an escape to exist, there needs to be suffering or dissatisfaction to sustain it. Perpetuate n cycles. Do what you want to escape and pacify one's self...but at what cost and to the detriment, inaction and continuing of status quo, disparity etc etc...Concepts such as unconditional love (which may seem objective, clarity etc... but can cause much damage, silence and inaction for urgently needed change to any issue) It would be great to discuss any of this further, and I am possibly wrong about all the above. Your point about class structures being detrimental to our mental health is so true. Like I think back to tribes in Africa for whom suicide is a completely foreign concept and so is the whole ordeal with dissolving the ego. I don’t know if the life path of these African tribes is the ideal illusion (since anything experienced by an experiencer is inevitably based on their biological, cultural and social conditioning). Did we go wrong with industrialization and capitalism or are these transformations necessary to allow us to dissolve the ego, but then why is there such a need to do so, if not to overcome the trauma such systems befall on us. Life and it’s paradoxes.

Like you mentioned, we are all products of so many variables, even just geography, time-era, culture/cultures, societal structures, linguistics-languages we are born into, let alone develop within. And in regards to dissolving the ego, agree with you in that, why should we even presuppose anything to do with our existence anyway? We just don't know...seems more honest (I think anyway). Any presupposition seems either a regurgitation of something conditioned, learned, purely subjective perceiving, subjective claims and all very humancentric (can we be any other way?) at their foundation. Can always appreciate various schools of thought...but class, social structures, economic structures seem to really perpetuate a lot of issues we find generation after generation suffering, tolerating, ignoring and or escaping...

Maybe this is what happens when survival is not an issue anymore. But also regarding the class structures, I was wondering the ruling class/"others" are people like us too, so if we feel these way, they must too in some abstract or even more fundamental sense. I know humans are different in many ways, but we are similar in others (i hope). So, maybe if we assume a collective consciousness (again no idea if thats the case, but after reading Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung, I think a convincing case about it could be made), just by partaking in this process of self enquiry we are maybe in some little way changing the perspectives held by the groups that are atop the social/class/economic hierarchy (no matter how slightly). or maybe this is just my wishful thinking and we are doomed to this divide and lack of empathy/indifference among classes. The economic model seems to me to be quite broken and it's no surprise to me that many of us looking for something "more sublime"/"different" wether its excess Netflix binging, conspiracies, drugs, tarot reading, non duality... u name it
