Phil Robertson

Күн бұрын

Phil believes we need to reframe the way Jesus is portrayed. Kyle Thompson, host of the Undaunted.Life podcast, joins Phil and Al to discuss masculinity and the way we view men who follow Christ. Al and Kyle talk about why a masculine man is something we should celebrate. Phil shares the suggestions he gave former President Donald Trump about how to live a more faithful life. And Kyle tells us how Undaunted.Life is equipping men to push back against the darkness.

@josh dombrowski Sorry if I my comment rubbed you the wrong way. I do not judge people by their body I don't judge people God does that. Jesus was the strongest man on Earth to suffer what he suffered to save us. I still say my Lord is a manly man to me the strongest man that ever lived. I'm far from being perfect but he loves me anyway. Have a nice day. ✌🙏

My father was an underground coal miner for 22years. A mans man. A man of God and raised us to work and earn what we needed not what we wanted. He also never let us miss a church service. His entire career I never seen him miss cause of being sick, he went no matter how he felt. Even hitch hiked to work before he could afford a truck. I’m 42 and I’ve sad for a long time people are growing way to soft and in there feelings. I love you Robertsons and all you stand for!!!

Kyle took the thoughts right out of my head. I have thought this way about Jesus since I've known him. A real Man on a mission is not cruel or hostile but powerful, confident, and determined. If your father is God you have all the power, confidence, and determination available in creation. You don't carry a big stick, your father created all the sticks. We need more of this type of preaching. Thank you.

I recall one time a few years back when a young man head butted me in the mouth because I was singing praises quite loudly at a bus stop. I wouldn't stop, even though he threatened me multiple times prior. I immediately went into fight mode, targeting a spot just underneath his jaw and ear. As I went to uppercut swing my fist at that spot, the Holy Spirit took over my body. He opened my fist and placed my palm in front of his face and I began to pray in tongues uncontrollably. The guy paused a moment then head butted me once again in the mouth. This time I felt no pain, just a slight impact. He walked away and sat on the bus stop bench. Still praying, I dropped to my knees and repented for wanting to and trying to knock the guy out. The bus came and I boarded. God has a way of doing things... In this case He wanted me to turn the other cheek to this offender and pray for him. So against my will, I did just that. Praise God for his kindness, mercy and forgiveness.

Sometimes I feel like I couldn't I have done something wrong or even better. @@bipslone8880 In a socialist state, the means of productions are held by the government, Jesus was not a socialist, even if he was here alive he would still not be a socialist nor condone the actions of socialism, such as stealing, you know that. It’s blasphemy to tell lies about Jesus Christ, and what you’re doing is a sin. Jesus doesn’t starve people to death. He actually gave the people the bread, socialism isn’t “everything is free” like you think it is. It is horrid.

I keep it simple with Jesus Christ's message concerning manliness, as He said something like, "for what better love hath a man for his friends than to lay down his life for them." That's a man. And He took it willingly. There's nothing more manly than laying down your own life in honour to God. Praise God that Jesus Christ was the chosen sacrifice, the Begotten Son. All glory to the Lord of lords, Priest of priests, and King of kings, Jesus Christ.

Someone said if you stood at the gate of Heaven it would say, "whosoever may come". Then when you enter through the gate and look at the sign that is on the other side it says, "Chosen before the foundation of the world". All of us see certain doctrines differently, but if we have Jesus right ie Son of God, died to pay for the sins of the world, was buried, and rose from the grave, then we are all alright.

Joshua 5:14, Christ appears to Joshua before the battle of Jericho in the form of a theophany. (anyone who question if it could have been an angel there are two reasons why not to think that. 1 when Joshua kneeled before this man he was not told not to. When someone kneels before an angel the angel tells them to rise. 2 Joshua was told to remove his shoes because he was on holy ground.) When Joshua asked who this man was he was told "Commander of the army of the LORD." Doesn't sound weak and mild to me.

It's hard to imagine Jesus did come to save sick sinners and hanging out with them in camp cooking fish. Just imagine no cars. No Obamacare phones.

I feel like the lack of masculinity is a symptom of the original sin. A la Adam wasn't watching his wife and stopping her from being tricked. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is head of the church.

I've listened to every single podcast by these guys.... and this by far was my least favorite guest.... let me be clear I'm as manly as they come.... I'm a hunter who doesn't use a gun( bow only).. I'm a very strong father in my house, a foster parent, an adoptive parent... worshipleader in my church, youth pastor... yea...its not like any of those things make me a good person or godly.. I know that .... but when started talking about " modern worship songs" having homosexual tendencies.... he lost me. I felt like this podcast contradicted 90% of the other unashamed podcast... No there's nothing wrong with being a man, and real men know that and dont need to be told that... I love when Phil talks about keeping the gospel simple and not focusing on pet peeves and how church denominations... this guest was definitely focused on wanting people to view jesus how he views jesus.... It put me in mind of the scene on Talladega night..... "I Like baby jesus the best.i like to picture jesus in a tuxedo tee shirt because I like to party so I like my jesus to party. I like to picture jesus singing lead voices for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I'm on the front row hammered,." Bottom line jesus is God... he doesn't fit into our little molds... we conform to him. Very disappointed... but 1 bad out of 315 ain't bad. Phil and Allen just stay the course....😉 Ps I'm not sure what kind of church this guest went to that all the dudes were feminine but.. it wasn't my church... and if the men in that church wasn't as manly as him that's ok too, we all different

One big mistakes/delusion made today by all ages is "sustainability" there is NO such thing in eartjy life, God's grace, love, mercy are sustainable. It takes work to keep things moving and growing. All of earth and everything in it is in a constant state of decay, not "sustainable"

Speaking of effeminate church music, what about when the man comes around. By Johnny cash?
