You're looking at a USN "standard" BB layout versus the NC and Iowa "fast battleship" designation. The standard was more of what the battleship represented before WW2 while the fast battleship was designed with carrier escorting in mind (with inspiration from RN battlecruisers).

Somehow love those post Pearl Habor refits of the USN standart fatties. Btw, T5-T8 Cruisers need heals! WG ignores this problem since years. They give it to most new lines but the old ones just suffer.

Heals used to be reserved for premium cruisers in T5-8. If they gave all cruiser lines heals then they would have to take another look at Premiums to buff. If Hipper has a heal then what is special about Prinz Eugen? The worse reload?

@@user-uf5vi5mg9e I'm not saying that they shouldn't give lines heals. I'm saying that the premiums that were given heals also need to be looked at for potential buffs if they give all cruisers heals.

Side note, they can afford to be fatties because the USN decided that they'll be used only in the Pacific & then scrap them after the war. So no need to trim them down for the Panama Canal, they not going to go through it And yes, CAs need heals, esp T8s. At least give them heals when facing T10s

We don't pay for them to listen to us (as is obvious with most WG decisions); However, that being said, cruisers T5-T8 (non premium) should just be played differently than those with heals. It's harder, yes, but it's why people call me Blapped Cruiser.

This is roughly my experience with this ship. Got it from a container and I think I have 2 krakens with it. Just back to back awesome games. One of my favorite T7 ships and now it’s my ticket to a free Wisconsin

This ship is excellent in Asymmetric and a fun brawler overall, when you can control your engagements. I got it when it originally launched over the '41 so it was discounted. During the last asymmetric that we had, I had a round where I got 260k damage and 9 kills in this ship, full secondary build. I 100% recommend anyone getting this ship out of the dockyard, at the minimum, if you like brawling.

WV44 has been my T7 goto boat in Brawls. DDs never expect to get chewed up by it, but this thing absolutely eats them alive. The sad part of the next dockyard is now every crayon eater in the game will have a WV44...

It’s a phase. You couldn’t que up for T7 without 3-4 Scharny ‘43s for awhile and then it died down. WV44 will be faster. Crayon eating and 20 knots don’t mix lol.

It should be noted that WV 44's AP performance drops off a cliff at distance. Past 10km, her 16in guns have less pen than 14in guns found on California and Florida.

Dockyards are usually fine if you play enough different ships. Eventually you can be completing combat missions about damage, ribbons, spotting, main battery hits, potential damage and many other things all at the same time.

PQ should play more low tier! It's way more fun as a BB player and much less campy. Only downside is the BB accuracy is woeful but fighting Omaha's is always fun

Low tier cruisers need some serious help, at tier 6 you start to see things like mutsu, Sinop, Nagato and even the Colorado at tier 7 who has 406mm guns that demolishes cruisers at those tiers thanks to overmatch
