I typically wear a 7 7/8 to 8 sized hat. How would you recommend enlarging the pattern to accomodate? Further, what type of fabric are you using? Would you recommend a particular weight?
@CorneliusQuiring3 күн бұрын
This pattern should work for you at that size. In terms of fabric, I used a "regular" cotton twill, the kind you make chinos out of.

Great tutorial as usual. When sewing the peak of the cap, I'm a little confused. You start sewing in the centre and go to the end, but how does it work sewing the other side? Thank you, Matt.
@CorneliusQuiring Жыл бұрын
I flip it around the other way so the bill is facing inwards, I start in the middle again and work my way out to the other side. It's a bit trickier but still works.

Hello Mr Quiring! I'm currently to learn how to make hats, I have never tried anything like this, and I'm curious as to where I get material for hats from. Or if I want a specific design on it where to get that, or if I wanted to add a design as well how I would go about it. If you have any tips on this please let me know, thank you for this amazing video!
