Being from Illinois its awesome to see my favorite place in the US the sebastian inlet been going there since i was a little guy on our family vacations my grand parents live in Sebastian and my gpa rip taught me everything I know about Indian river and inlet fishing its so beautiful there . Blackened Snook Marcella, just deglaze with Marcella Wine, reduce it by half and add Cream or even Light Cream, let that cook down to a desired thickness or add some flour with your ice cold dairy, just a little and salt as needed. I use a touch of garlic. Drizzle that sauce over the fish and garnish with Parsley. Yeah man! Good times right there.

I can just imagine what it's like fishing in Hawaii! That's one of my dream fishing spots is to troll out there for the big game. But one of the great things with Florida fishing is that the Gulf fishing is completely different from Atlantic fishing. The Gulf is much shallower close to shore. For example, coming out of Sarasota where I'm at, 10 miles out you're in 40 foot, 25 miles out you're in 100 foot. 40 miles out you're in 150-200 foot. 100 miles out you're in 300-900 foot depending on how far south you go. But you go five miles out from Miami and you're instantly into 300 foot of water. So in the Atlantic, you get all of the great pelagics moving through there and some real deep water dropping for tilefish and swordfish since it's not hard to get into 1,000 foot water. In the Gulf, it's much more about bottom fishing for Grouper and a wide variety of snappers. And then you can go down to the Keys and get the best of both worlds plus great inshore fishing. I've noticed that with Vik and Brook, when they do bottom fishing, they occasionally see some small red groupers, but it's nothing like we get over here on the Gulf Coast.
