What's up Victor! You really make quick work of these videos and always fun fishing with you and Brook. Thanks for giving ole dennysebnasty a shoutout. Nolan Minor, the pile of fish you saw on deck that was mine, was being transferred out of the Saltwater brine so that they could be packed and layered with ice. I probably ice my fish better than 99% of commercial fishermen out there, and creating a salt brine is the fastest and most effective way to drop the core temperature. But you don't want your fish sitting in water for long periods or they become soft and will eventually absorb water. If you simply drain the brine then that doesn't guarantee that the fish will hold and have ice layered between them, so you have to remove the fish, hence the multiple fish hitting deck into the pile as it was being filmed. Part you didn't see is that those fish were already brined and that if I keep fish they go into the brine while alive. When it's cold means you can leave fish on deck during a blitz for a few minutes max, and adds alot of unrequired work to ensure that my fish are the highest of quality when they go to market. You can throw fish in a cooler and top with ice by law, but that is no where near brined quality. Why Landshark was commenting that I am really strict with my icing, because I take pride in taking care of my fish to the best I can. Although junkfish to many, they are sold for consumption, and I want people to eat fish the same way I would. There are alot of fish there because I spent many hours before anyone catching fish on my own, and don't want anyone to ever exceed their bag limit if they choose to help me within their recreational limit. I can exceed the recreational limit, but unless you hold a RS Commercial Permit like myself you cannot. Is a tough living land based so am grateful if anyone chooses to help me within the law, but I'm out fishing every day because there is alot of behind the scenes work that make it a fruitless career choice. Sacrifices I make to do what I love to do, which is catch fish as much as possible and hangout with good people

I can see my brother's footsteps that he wore into that pier. Good fishing. Best

The expression "gotcha", matches not only the jig, but the catch too. Epic slaying is an understatement. I think you invented a new fishing pun with that "Macarena" reference. Sebestian fishing is great, the pier and the inlet, thanks for showing what fun it can be. Some folks turn their noses up at shore based fishing, it awesome you use this platform and your influence to show how awesome it can be. Those were some stud reds "Poisson Rouge". Until next time, tight lines & good vibes.

Thanks brother! I feel you on the landbased, I grew up doing it and no matter where life takes me I’ll always be drawn to it. There’s something about piers, jetties and the challenge that comes with it, that makes it so rewarding🤟

First time viewer here. My first observation is you guys sure had a great time at that pier! I've never seen such good fishing without being in a boat. Second, anyone talking smack about the volume of the catch or what you do with your lawfully obtained seafood is just waving a big flag with a message on it saying they are ignorant; it's worth trying to educate the ignorant one time, but beyond that it's not worth the effort. Third and final comment, why doesn't anyone bleed their fish on the pier? The commercial fisherman knows the financial loss he will suffer per fish that isn't properly bled immediately after it is caught. Makes for a much tastier meal. Good job out there!
@nolanminor67616 жыл бұрын
I think I gave him some jacks the one time I fished Sebastian, he shared bait as long as we gave him the jacks caught on it. No issue with killing fish, but I never like seeing them lying on the ground, does he not lose any market value for not icing them down and taking care of the meat?
@LandsharkOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
He’s actually very strict about the icing. That day was very cold, and some of the fish on the deck were not his.

I need good pier recommendations. I am from Michigan and am coming down for spring break to fish rather than to party. Im looking at anywhere on the east coast. What area has the most piers? And would you recommend the north,central,or south, for catching the most variety. I am extremely interested in cudas.
