I've been a nurse for 30 years and this man has had dementia for a long time. However it doesnt take medical professional to know this. The shuffling gait, loss of depth perception, falls, loss of train of thought causing him to trail off on his speech and actions etc.. Ive only seen him as a dementia patient and nothing more. His wife should be ashamed for allowing this man to continue to in this position humiliated instead of giving him some dignity by declaring him incompetent.
