No contest! The Buick is extremely cool, unique, different, stylish, badass. And you don't have to go crazy to made it awesome. The C-10 is fairly cool, commonplace, done to death, and you'd have to do something pretty far off the reservation to make it not boring....

Swapped the chassis for a 1981 Cadillac chassis. SBC with 350 trans, Cragar mags and a two door conversion. Channeled two inches.@@BestDamnShopAround

I'm a chevy truck guy myself I had a 68 short wide when I was in my early 20s I built my wife loves a stepside and your the only other one I've heard call them hips besides her so the 68 has my vote but that buik is cool too

As @joshjerauld1727 stated below the Buick is unique. The 68 c10 you can find about anywhere if you know where to look. My vote is to do the Buick. You just don't see them every day and in the condition, it is in. It makes for a very affordable platform to start with. The patina on the Buick is really nice and buffed out which will make for a head-turner.

@@BestDamnShopAround I hope think about the chassis swap restomod idea. I know cost will play a big part but maybe you could find a wrecked vehicle, a system that can "talk to the instrument gauges " I've heard of that happening but forgot who used it.
