In apologising for Mr Johnson you fail to understand that the people who gave him his job and his fame have a right to have it confirmed or otherwise whether he was instrumental in the high death toll which perhaps included their own loved ones. To be entitled to condone the way he handled Covid you'd have to speak from the standpoint of someone who lost close kith and kin, which you didn't. Your readiness to overlook his negligent failure to preserve perhaps crucial evidence because you yourself did something similar is irrelevant and of no interest...he was the PM with massive resources to recover the whatsapps he claims he lost! As is also the case with his fellow partygoer, Mr 'Integrity' Sunak. More to the point..the Inquiry will provide a blue print on how not to kill so many of our citizens in future pandemics. Equally to the point it will provide us with a toolkit to help us recognise a master of bullshit before handing him the keys to Downing Street. Bullshit that includes telling us he is following the science whilst so frequently and recklessly ignoring his medical team's advice (describing the existence of long covid as "bollocks" etc). The purpose of the Inquiry is not to lay blame but to help us survive should we ever again entrust the country's fate to a Billy Bunter clone who sees nothing wrong in using the nation's resources as his tuckbox.
