OK i know this video is not that serious, but: the more i see 'karens' i see it see it devolving into people with phones being like 'I filmed these people, and they're old, and socially awkward, so I'm right'. unlike the old days where karens were universally unreasonable. Props to Cody for not straight up pandering to people who just wanna see old people get 'owned' and keeping the video light and chill. His wide audience certainly thanks him!
@bashfulwolfo64993 ай бұрын
100% this. I’ve seen videos of “Karens” pretty much getting harassed by teens because they just didn’t want them doing something. Hell, even my mom was a victim of this sorta shit before (thank god no one was recording). At her previous job there was always skateboarding kids right in front of the building during Covid, not wearing masks (my mom was working as a receptionist at a vet clinic, masks were required no matter what). The sounds of skateboarding stressed out the animals beyond belief, and them taking space in front of the building was preventing clients from being able to enter properly. So my mom would have to go out and ask them to leave, to which they called her a Karen and even threw shit at her before. Thank god she called the cops and the kids left.
@Hannamura9123 ай бұрын
Exactly, and some of em are without context like the woman banging on that door and he tol her she'll get arrested, like what happened before that what did they do to her? And now every angry customer is a Karen too apparently no matter what the context is
@pineappleparty16243 ай бұрын
@@bashfulwolfo6499 That's crazy man. So it seems skate board kids getting punched by random adults might be because of bad eggs they never admit exist. In my town there were a couple young kids riding all over the parking lot in danger of getting hit by cars. I found a cop parking to buy groceries and pointed at the children. he told them to come here and sit down, the BAWLED crying and I never saw them again. :D Also crazy to mention masks if they were outside of the building requiring it inside the building.
@kennideelee78682 ай бұрын
Additionally- some people have mental illnesses that cause some of this behavior and while that isn’t necessarily an excuse to act unreasonable in some cases it is absolutely something that could cause someone to lash out like a Karen would.

Idk. That one where he’s filming the accident was crazy. My father used to be a volunteer fire fighter and he couldn’t stand when reporters showed up. He found it predatory to take pictures of people right after they lost everything they owned, sometimes in tears or in their pjs or underwear watching their life burn to the ground. Or even while they’re actively trying to rescue someone or when they know someone has died from a result of the fire. They document their grief with no respect of their privacy. So idk. I feel like if they asked him not to film the kids he should have stopped.
@shm0phie16 күн бұрын
im assuming it was an accident he was involved in, & he said,”you guys came at me crazy earlier.” so im sure he was recording for his own safety or in case he needed evidence for something later. exploiting people’s grief & sadness after losing their homes, for the news, is way different from that situation.

Local news and other types of reporters are things, broadcast/media students, video freelancers, etc are all going to video/photograph these types of things. Had a class a year ago where we were required on our own to find a crime scene(probably a car crash) and photograph and report on it. He is legally allowed to record, especially from that distance being completely respectful. He's not in the crime scene or even up close showing people injured or anything. Looks like he is on a public sidewalk. Idk why you think that this is an inappropriate video for "discord". Media rights are important for many reasons, especially when he was being respectful and not disruptive. It's not a happy thing, but stuff like this is necessary for when other things happen too, like cops being terrible people, people threatening you(like the videos in this whole compilation), mass tragedies and wars that have to be reported on, and whatever else.

If there are minors in the video, then the video won't be published with their faces showing. It's not a big deal. Having video footage of the aftermath of a crash can only be beneficial, unless you're up to something shady like insurance fraud.

Respected isn’t equivalent to illegal, I almost can guarantee the southern woman’s family caused that accident, and to prevent chances of insurance fraud or issues filing a claim the man is exercising his right to film in public, for his own safety, this is absolutely standard practice following car accidents, they can cry all they want, as the officer said there is no inherent right to privacy in public

The whole bus video reminded me of something that happened when I was in eighth grade. True story: I was on one of two buses for my DC trip and a turkey crashed into the other bus. Dude, glass shards were everywhere and the turkey was fully in the bus. I think glass even got into one of the teacher's eyes. The driver had to kick the turkey out of the bus, and the kids named him "Larry". We were stuck at a gas station in the middle of nowhere for nearly four hours before we could get a replacement bus. Wild.
