555 I find it amusing that you have developed the Thai trait of making everything a drama

Does this mean a Thai person seeking to visit the USA by getting ESTA in lieu of a visa ?

Until Trump is in office perhaps it's better to go Mexico and then cross the boarder like all the other immigrants 🤣😂. If Thailand do activate ETA, my next trip will most likely be the last. Not jumping through a load of electronic hoops to get a visa waiver after only needing my passport to get the same access in the past.

The requirements most likely aren`t changing. Many people today already have their bases covered by having cash (20.000 baht), and having an outbound ticket, in addition to being able to show a paid destination or an address (hotel or such) for a few days, when they travel to Thailand visa exempt. Just in case they are asked (we know some are). Yet we do not know which requirements the ETA wants, but it might be the same as above, or less. It`s really not that big of a deal for anyone to stop visiting Thailand. On the contrary, the process through the destination airport (immigration) in Thailand will most likely be faster and more smooth than it is today.
