Epic family garden day in this abundant suburban garden. So much already sprouting this spring. All the kids and parents pitch in to make this day a success and the garden a real banger food producing mini food production machine.

He is, and it's great to see. The seriousness of life can get to anyone. I think more playfulness in the work is the way forward for the family. Work can be done with play and joy and in the old days singing used to be part of how it was done. Anyway it's great to see them altogether again.

Bri, if the kids get bit by ants, put paper towels, soaked in white vinegar on the bites! The vinegar will neutralize the venom in the bites. Keep the very wet(vinegar) paper towels on the bites for about 20-30 minutes and you won’t be able to tell they were bit! The pain usually stops after a few minutes.

Volunteer plants and plants that sprout new tops after being severely chomped on are the best things in the garden to me. They are like little surprises that make me realize that even if I don't know what I'm doing the garden does. It is hopeful.

Whew! I’m sorry you have to deal with the rudeness of a few in the comment section. I know you are old hands at handling that aspect of your channel, but it’s never fun. I just want to say that I have been here for years and your lives have gotten messy at times. So what? You’re wonderful people and my life has gotten messy at times too. We just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other and working on ourselves and giving ourselves and those around us the grace God has given us. God bless you on your journey!

It does my heart good to see everyone working together and having fun. I love kids. The girls are so helpful. Boys too. I can’t believe how big and smart those twins are. I meant to write on your last video that just seeing the children on the farm was so heart warming. It’s a shame the house isn’t on the farm. I’m glad you are just getting the garden in. ❤❤❤❤❤

I love your family videos and thankful you choose to share your life w us. The last video I noticed some comments that were harsh. Don't let judgmental trolls rob you of your ministry on KZbin. If they don't like the videos or art, they can just leave no need to be mean. If your family is too vulnerable right now for the ugly comments just turn them Off. So excited about garden videos!

About every yard and garden needs a valuable plant that our ancestors knew was valuable as a rodent repellent and a medical use for a healthy body. It's called castor bean, and it's a beautiful large plant with large leaves. It would be a really nice addition to your yard.

If you have sweet basil. You grind it in a mortar and pestal. Until it's a green slime. Then rub it on. It's better the aloe vera. I grew it year round when my kids were babies. It makes the best diaper rash cream ever.

I had snapdragons come back last year from the year before. It was only the pale yellow ones and pale pink ones that made it. None of the darker or more brilliant hues came back. I haven't looked to see if they've made a comeback this year or not. Last year was the first year we've ever had it happen. It was not a mild winter, either, but they were in a raised bed two feet off the ground so more protected. This year we got down to 7 for several days this winter, so I doubt we have a chance on them coming back again.

For the stings/bites use household ammonia to stop the sting. Stinging nettle or fire ant bites, it helps stop the reaction and calms the burn.
