Good to see you friend. I struggle.with mental health and consequently physical health as well. I have basically ended youtube uploads, rarely get camping or hiking and struggle to get out of bed some days as well. I take my medication and try to be positive and productive each day but it doesn't come easy. Do what you can, don't let anyone's pressure push you. Do you, for you. I asked for help with addiction after 30 years of denial and secrecy and lost my wife, my son, my home and my career goal job within hours. Took 6 months away, staying on a bed in the corner of a sister's basement. Now I have a basement suite, get to see my son every second weekend and work 8 to 4 each weekday. Still not healed but doing better than I was. Take care of yourself.

Thanks for sharing this. A blow to your physical health can affect you in ways you don’t realise, you can feel vulnerable especially if you’re already dealing with any mental health issues. Just started getting out again myself but have been struggling with hyper vigilance and low mood. Once I eventually get out into the middle of nowhere I start to feel better but getting past the front door can be a challenge. Better days are ahead!

Not in that situation now, but I have been about as low as I could possibly go. This time last year I could barely leave the house, and I flipped like a switch one day and turned it back round. Thanks for sharing mate and keep on pushing through it, It's a lot easier to give in to it and some times it's hard to see that people value and need you around. But when the fog clears it does get better, all the best.

Only just found your channel through GrizzlyGaz and English Woodsman. Sorry to hear things haven't been so good. Been there myself a few times. Pleased to see you taking the first steps - those first steps are the hardest. Wishing you all the very best.

So glad to hear you're ok mate. I've had my fights and feel like I'm coming out the other side. I know everyone deals with things differently but you may feel better looking at it in a where where you've been given a second chance to experience everything wonderful on this glorious Earth, you've been given a second chance at being able to tell your wife and kids you love them. Take every day as if it's your last and experience the wonders while we're here. Really hope to hear from you again soon, no rush though, enjoy time with your family

Sorry to hear of your latest problems Scott. But as one of the comments said bellow, "baby steps", it does not matter what those steps are just keep making them. Remember a walk around the world begins with one step. If yours for the day is to just get out of bed that is still a step on the journey of recovery. Mental health is like the weather, one day the sun is shining the next it can be poring down. So some days you will feel like walking more than others. Do not beat yourself up on the rainy days if you just want to get out of bed, sunnier days lie ahead

Oh mate, I hope you're on the mend fella. Take it easy lad. It would be weird if no one felt the effects of living in the modern world that drives us all nuts. You need time. I've been there recently, lack of motivation. I find it goes in cycles with me. But I can get too euphoric as well, just as concerning as I know as high it goes it can go down too. All the best Scott mate. Takes courage to be honest and talk about mental health issues.

Hi Scott... I greatly appreciate your strength in getting out and making this video and your openness in sharing your health issues, both physically and mentally. It's good to talk, whether it be to your wife, a family member, a friend or within a group such as Andy's Man Club or as you have done here with this video. By talking your allowing yourself to let issues out as opposed to letting them stifle within and by doing so you can more easily, over time, manage those issues going forward one step at a time. Take care of you.... Nearly 40 years ago, the age you are approaching, I read an article in a magazine where the author stated he woke early in the morning, got up out of bed, had a short weight training workout within his home, before showering, getting ready and having his breakfast all before any other family member awakened. Thereafter he prepared settings and breakfast for the rest of the family having woken them. His explanation on why he did this was, that in order to take care of others you first have to take care of you. Don't worry about KZbin at this time, your subscribers will still be here when you are ready to get out and film more videos for your Channel and in the interim we can all watch again the many you have produced so far to date. Thankyou again Scott for your Strength in sharing. Keep moving forward one step at a time. Take care of you. All my very best to you and you family👌

It is now important to get better, to know the causes and to avoid whatever is causing harm. There is a life ahead that can last a long time, in addition to having to take care of the family, especially the children who are our contribution to society and the propagation of the species. Get well and recover. Don't let the problem mess with the psychological part too much to avoid mental decline and sinking. Remember that not everyone around you cares or is aware of the danger each person faces.
