...The reason that Brron and Kahki worked the way they did is because Brron discards in the damage step. That ENTIRE SEQUENCE was in the damage step. That's hilarious.

That and Junk Connector effect is only gonna trigger once it hits the graveyard. It really didn't seem that hard to understand

The Damage Step is comprised of 5 timings. After damage calculation is for effects that activate in response to battle damage. Brron's effect activated and resolved here, then Kahkki's effect activated and resolved on a new chain. At the end of the Damage Step is for effects that activated in response to "destroyed by battle". Junk Connector's effect activated and resolved here. This would be true even if it didn't need to be sent to the GY.

The Brron and Junk Connector interaction would be really good to understand if master duel had a substep for the damage step and it would make players learn better how the battle phase works since it is one of the most complicated parts of the game.

19:15 - it's like how sylvan komushroomo works. If the excavation hits sylvans on flip after battle, even if it will die by battle, a new chain starts which contains all of the GY effects, within damage calculation, then we send the mushroom to the GY if it died by battle. The connected Trigger Effect(s) that started a new chain will occur in the same substep of the damage step as the one just before it/them.

I understand the ruling in hindsight, but I would have ruled it wrong for sure. And I've been judging the EU feature matches for almost a decade lol. I would have said CL1 Kahkki (mandatory) CL2 Junk, so either way Kahkki would not have been able to destroy the new Synchro monster. Being destroyed and sent to the GY is based on the step of the game, so won't happen until the game moves on- But since Kahkki was discarded, it'll activate and resolve before the game can move on to the step where destroyed monsters are sent to the GY.

Not for nothing Doug, but so does Dark World, maybe even more so I know hindsight is an asshole, but i think Lair was def the move, even if you didn' tget 3 Deck Dev and 2 Lilith. A single Snoww helps slightly with consistency, but Lair turns on several cards and makes many others better

If konami actually bothered to put the new support in the pack, i feel like that would lean even heavier into either lair of darkness or gates of dark world, since genta also helps with consistancy. so basically, dzeef lost this becuase master duel devs are lazy.

20 has worked for most people other decks, this episode is an exception solely because both decks have MD issues (Dark World has too many high rarities to be playable, Junk/Yusei is less impressive because the cards that make the strategy aren’t in the pack but are added through MR rules). This doesn’t mean every other deck should have it.😊

I think at this point they could, the only remaining deck are really mid and often require high rarity card to work, and even with those 10 extra packs there's a good chance the decks will lack a lot of stuff.

I feel like if there are going to be packs on the wheel that aren't used then why not just lump them in with the other pack. Like spin it, let it be five extra packs from that set, and then do 20 from the other. In that way it at least feels like a bonus not a "ha ha negative spin again"
