If the opponent is trying to do something silly then even if you don't Maxx C draw into Nibiru you will be drawing into a bunch of gas, and I don't think it's fun to see (or play through) Sumo Dice Game turbo get overrun by a deck that drew 500 extenders.

I do think an alternative to simply saying mbt shouldn't use handtraps, have a custom ban list, if specific cards are not fun to see or becoming problematic/played out too much you can stick them on the list so people have to keep making new decks/ways to win(through mbt laughing or winning the duel) and both sides can play without some meta cards(like the bug) to be more fair.

Hey MBT, I run a Ghostrick/Egyptian gods deck that actually surprisingly wins. 55 cards, all 3 gods 2 of, usually winning pulling out obelisk or stunning opponents to surrender. There’s also a spell card that boost my ghostricks into 2100-3200 attack so it makes them viable for faster damage.

Magikey's normal monsters generally don't matter aside from the main guy and whatever attr you want to block as well as their level, so yeah I play Celtic Guardian and Winged Dragon of the Fortress. I genuinely got in like 3 last attacks with Celtic Guardian all my time with it. A lvl 2 tuner that's self sufficient and Bystials make this deck far more playable than the Adventure engine, which blocks Magikey's most important card from activating (the genie guy). It was sorta viable thanks to Chaos Ruler, but guess who's getting banned soon?
