Not to mention that a lot of individuals do not buy machine guns, suppressors, or other nfa items like shirt barreled rifles or shotguns because of how onerous and intrusive the paperwork is. It's not necessarily the $200 tax stamp that prevents many from buying nfa items, it is the absurd amount of paperwork, red tape, and the already year long wait for the ATF to do their end of the paperwork. Which is what they want. They not only want to have records of who has what, they also want to mitigate the amount of individuals who simply want to do what Americans have the civil liberty to do, like keep and bear arms. Just like obtaining a concealed carry permit in New York and other places. It's not that everyone is forbidden from obtaining a permit, it's that they've made it so difficult and expensive that many choose not to. They simply need to demand an answer to the question of: "Would you rather enforce the law against violent criminals, or persecute the law abiding liberty loving patriotic American for doing absolutely nothing wrong"? You cannot mitigate drunk driving by taking cars from sober individuals and you cannot mitigate violent crime by disarming good and decent law abiding individuals. This is not complicated, it is not nuanced, or difficult.......enforce the law against the criminals that maim and murder(the exact same criminals that they currently releasing and refusing to prosecute), or GTFO. And if they still refuse to honor their oath and duty, if they still disgrace and dishonor the sacrifices and lives given for this liberty and others, then we remove them. Honor your oath perform your duty, or GTFO, or we'll make you.

Weird how that works sometimes, but yeah, I've known her for years now and have known multiple people who worked for her, and he policy positions are generally great, and she can be a stalwart for freedom, but just not great at being a boss. She's retiring after this session to spend more time with her daughters who are in high school...which I think is great. Family comes first. I wish her the best and will be sad to no longer see her in Congress, but I'll see her around Indiana for sure.

•CDC removed the defensive use of firearms statistics because it shows that the #1 firearm used in home defense situations are semi-automatic rifles... •They left 2020, 2021,2022, and 2023 off the regulatory impact assessment because those are the years where ownership of pistol braces exploded by tens of millions of units, as those are the years where firearms were being promoted and sold WITH the brace attached. Making it much more attractive for an AR pistol purchaser.
