HI, a question for anyone/everyone... If Ruby's parents are normal, and she doesn't have special powers.... How does she keep making it snow? Remember the Doctor said 'it's not me doing it, it's you'.

Obviously, only my own theory here. Sutekh left part of himself everywhere the TARDIS landed in the form of "Susan," and it only started snowing for Ruby once she had been on the TARDIS. That moment that both Sutekh and Ruby were so fixated on bound them together and kept her connected to it. When she thought about it, part of her existed there through Sutekh. It's the same thing that stopped Sutekh from seeing who the mother was. They made the moment matter, gave it power.

The next episode is the Moffat Christmas special, then the next season next Spring, then the 2025 Christmas special. That's as far as we know so far. Though RTD made a comment about doing 4 seasons in total like last time. So, perhaps we'll have this structure of 6 months between new eps till 2027's Christmas special. We'll see ^__^

Interesting idea for a very bold season. But you're right in that it didn't explain everything--the snow, Maestro's comments, etc. (If you *need* KZbin...) RTD might be having *too* much fun. He was much tighter during 1.0 (but he had twice the time and had to prove the show would work). But I still love this episode and this series.

Why exactly? I thought it was quite beautiful, even a simple ordinary human can be the most extraordinary for a moment in time. If you think thats stupid, I suggest you watch Classic Who, for you'd be getting a lot of that talk.

I agree, like if Sutekh is the "most dangerous creature" then how couldn't he see some random person ditching her kid? Like how is that his big weakness. And how has Ruby been summoning snow from thin air? Like they dont even explain why all these things were happening. And the whole "cultural appropriation" line. Like if that was a big problem, maybe just don't chose to use a villain thats literally based on an ancient Egyptian god. Chose anyone else, and it would work just as well. Such a crap ending

I agree it was so lazy I think RTD forgets he's writing science fiction I did not care for that scene I wasn't sad I was bored all the way through the whole Ruby and mother scene I just wanted to see the Doctor fight a monster.

This episode was disappointing Sutekh was wasted and was made into a joke RTD should stop touching on old classic characters if he cant do them properly don't use them i was hoping Ruby's mother would turn out to be an alien since they had this massive build up and it would turn out Ruby is the first well second if you count Nardole to be the first NuWho alien humanoid companion but no her mother was just a regular person RTD is good at soap but he is not good at science fiction the ending was just plain and boring been through this before it's starting to get abit predictable.
