My elderly parents visited me from Scotland, and wanted something to do one Friday evening. I had mentioned I wanted to see the new Tarantino film and my mother was enthusiastic since Brad Pitt was in it. My fathers never been one for cinema however we all went to a late night showing. My lass gave it a miss as she had had a long day at work and didn't relish a 3 hour movie stint. They were taken with scene and setting, music and references since they were teenagers when the film was set. Knowing what Tarantino was like I was rather dreading any sexual innuendo or extreme violence throughout as my parents are sensitive souls. When this scene played out my parents were roaring with laughter along with everyone else in the showing. It's something I will never forget and after 35 years I hadn't thought there would be any way we could further bond. In a strange way I want Tarantino to know that he's made a complete movie for everyone. Its damn timeless.

@@tacticalmattfoley That was my favorite scene. That and the one where Brad beats Bruce Lee's butt for him. And Leo chasing the GD Manson hippies off his street. I enjoyed this movie so much I found myself wishing that was really how all that Helter skelter insanity went down. Loved Cliff beatin the hell out of Clem at the ranch. Then Tex at the house and the little ginger haired f...er as he slammed her head into every wall and piece of furniture in the house. And then Leo flame throwing Sexy Sadie into oblivion. Great movie. Peace, M.A.

One of the best final scenes by Tarantino. I was actually worried how he was gonna portray the Tate-LaBianca murders being so infamous and terrible. But he pulled the rug and gave us the revenge and the version of events we would’ve liked to see in real life. I was like “he’s gonna kill Leo and Brad” but then hell broke loose and the laughs just kept coming. Can’t wait for another project with Leo and Brad, they had great chemistry in this entertaining as hell movie.

That version is a Dragon Mark III, undoubtedly the most reliable, with a "full throw" of 87 feet. The barrel did get pretty hot after a burst of 8 seconds, so we were told to keep the bursts four seconds or less. Lucky Strike had a short promotion shortly after the Korean War where you could get a surplus Mark III for 3,000 coupons off the back of each pack and carton. Our Moms were a little worried that we would get hurt, so we wore gloves and old football helmets and stayed out of the dried brush in the summer. Stupid Randall burned Jamie's ass one day, so we refused to play with him. I think his Dad took his away. On the last Sunday before school, I asked Mom if I could help with the barbecue. I was very safe in lighting up the Mark III, but when I attempted to grill the chicken from about 20 feet, I scared the shit out of the Wilson's and Dad took away my torch and sent me to my room. I don't remember if Dad sold it to Rick Dalton or somebody else down at the movie studio.

In my top three Tarantino films. This was a director in pure flight. There is a lot to talk about with it. A+++ acting, strong cinematography, incredible lighting and I think many open questions, answers and great meanings. Most of all, quite a powerful film at that; if you let it be.

@@Meesterlijker Pulp is great of course. I think Uma was real funny in that and also Jackson. Bridget Fonda I loved in Jackie Brown; she was hilarious. They are all quite good of course. However, for me, I think it's absolutely Basterds (I think my obsession and love for the German language helps too) and then I love the Kill Bills because of Uma, and I liked the sets. @@jackchase6461 You are exactly the pretentious people he was talking about. Are you really that stupid? I though Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was decent, but nowhere close to Tarantino's best. But just cuz I'm not crazy about this movie doesn't mean I love Marvel movies, or even Transformers movies as cliche people like you always say. Now Transformers movies are trash in my opinion. Marvel is just okay in my opinion, but I'm not gonna act like I'm superior to someone just cuz they like the MCU. We always get annoying pretentious smartasses like you who think your super intelligent just cuz you like a Quentin Tarantino movie, LOL! Why is there always annoying people like you in the comments of movies like this?
