99.9 percent of serious athletes have serious skeletal alignment issues. The fact you have a man doing big bar flips after double knee surgery is not a win. You're just as focused on ego as everyone else. Doing neat tricks instead of building meaningful comprehensive fitness. And healthy skeleton. Your spinal column isn't straight, which means you have frozen vertebrae. Dump everything you think, and go back to basics. You can't build a house with a crooked foundation. Theres no reason for that man to be doing big bar flips if he can't do a pistol squat, or go ice skating and have dynamic leg movement and knee stability. This is a totally ridiculous unsystematic way of approaching health. You don't play like a crazy person until your entire skeleton is healthy. You have to be a patient adult and fix your skeleton. This is all a sham.

This is one of the greatest videos for growth, fitness, sports and health I've seen in a long time. After years of training in gymnastics and now in working as a psychologist in sports, this is what the core message for training and competing should be. Without fear and expectations. Loving the process, adapting and development. No maniacs only looking for success and goals in the future to get acknowledgement and to prove themselves. Instead enjoying the journey, setting personal skill-oriented goals and improving yourself because you love yourself, others and nature. It brings movement and spirituality together. Totally inspiring, I love it. So thank you❤❤❤

I’d rather climb a wall, swim and roller/ice skate. Also working at a restaurant I’m already physically active. Makes no sense adding more stress and I’m somewhat in pretty good shape now what I’m doing. I do miss having a third place to go to with people with the same or similar life style goals.

I do a lot of crossfit and some calisthenics on the side. I've been feeling that the FUN of doing it all is missing. I've been trying to explain to my fellow crossfit gym buddies that what i'm seeking is a gym at which to actually hang-out, particularly on a Friday night. I want to go in, have some social time, we all work on moves and have some fun with it all. Most of the time I feel that we all go in for an organized class and then all go home. The goal is to complete the session as quickly as possible and say that we did it to make ourselves feel better. But I really just want to go in and crawl, flip, jump over stuff and have a good social time. I did some parkour for a while and found that the parkour community had more of this fun vibe to it and everyone would hang-out. We'd do it for hours. Instead of going to a bar on a Friday night, I want to have fun in a gym doing interesting things which I don't normally do. I have 24-hour access at my Crossfit gym, usually i'm the ONLY person in there on a weekend night if I do go. This video expresses exactly how i've been feeling and what i'm trying to express to others around me.

Turning 33 this year and still looking like competitive 20y gymnast which i never was. I dislike the commercial gym type of workouts. Most people go there and act like programmed robots. When you find a nice place to workout with decent people then its not only just a workout but hanging out too. Can relate to this exact way of training from doing calisthenics and street workout, my workouts would be around 4-7 hrs and most of the time is just me and my friends messing around trying stuff and just generally having fun. Our freestyle tricks would progress exponentially quicker than people who train it in a more serious manner, it's like because we're having fun and not 'grinding' the moves, we're more willing to try new stuff, thus landing tricks a lot quicker and consistent. (or rather, we're more open and accepting of doing the movements instead of being afraid of falling)

Back to Vo2 max training. Doctors Attia says zone 2 cardio, so cardio in the 60 to 80% range is your best training tool because it minimizes lactic acid buildup which we all know causes the muscle soreness which is one of the reasons people don't like to exercise. Pavel Tsatsouline, the kettlebell guy has a great book called the AXE method, another guy who says you want to avoid high intensity exercise because of lactic acid buildup.

It all depends on what you're going for. Bodybuilding for example means using isolation exercises for each muscle. A bodybuilder could care less about doing flips, he just wants to get bigger. Football players need pushing power with their legs to push 330 pound linemen out of the way. If you want to do the flips and handstands then of course this is correct but it all depends what you're working to accomplish.

As the building grew, they kept on raising the loading bay. I think the 5th floor was our Mt Everest. We all eventually made it but it was fun pushing each other. Nights at the gym were our serious times.

I'm 53 and do some of these moves. You don't have to work-up to anything extreme such as backflips. Merely crawling and doing animal flow, rolling and sommersaults will do it. Essentially just mobility movements. They're physically demanding in their own way, trust me. But also fun. Doing monkey bars and hanging motions are both fun and beneficial. Most adults can't hang with one arm, but remember as a kid you could probably fly across the monkey bars. That fun yet very beneficial aspect of natural body movement has been missing in modern training methods.

I approach working out and life in general as a “serious game” 😂 Not too serious and not too laid back to the point of indifference… Sometimes when it’s required I go to the extremes but for very short period of time. You can’t put it in a block of time, it’s intuitive… For example when I play soccer/football I engage fully, actually playing in my best capacity, but in the same time realising it’s just a sport and mostly for fun. Thus avoiding becoming too aggressive, taking things personally such as some misplaced tackles etc In the end I’m not concerned with winning or losing, but part of the game is trying to win…just not attached to the outcome.
