This lesson was incredible. It’s not so obvious how fast I need to be when watching. You make it look so easy! I’m literally sweating from having done this lesson. I highly recommend having the scratch drumming lessons mastered first! Can’t wait for the next part!

@@TAIJIofficial oh no! 😆 again, I encourage everyone to download the practice materials from his Banscamp. You absolutely WILL need to slow down these patterns to learn! 😓

I love your tutorials! 💜 It is hard for me to pull back from "yea" to "ahh" because the distance is long and time is short with some patterns. Is your hand the whole time on the record, or do you push back and catch it again? I mean only the "long" way back. ⏪
@TAIJIofficial2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your support! On long pull back, raise the position to catch the record. Try it at about 12 o'clock. Touch the record only once, not twice.

The backing track is at 90bpm and the scratch material at around 73bpm. Do you ever increase the speed of the scratch material to match the backing track?
@TAIJIofficial11 ай бұрын
For example, in the case of a single note like Ahh, it is not necessary to match the BPM. If there is a vocal phrase or a rhythm present in the material, it is better to match the BPM.
