Stop wait till April titan tool is releasing a new backpack sprayer it holds 1 gallon of paint has a super smooth trigger and is able to use more tips than the Graco I sale both and the upcoming titan fixes all the bads of the graco

I bought one last May , used it twice to paint coving , nice bit of kit but i'm just not finding the use for it on the commercial contracts i do so will probably sell on , i'll wait a few more months to see if anything does come up to try it on.

Never really got into spraying, but that's a nice bit of kit. I've got one of the screwfix sprayers that I use for fencing and and I've used it for some fancy coving. I'm not sure I could justify the expense at this stage of my career, lol.

Its a cracking bit of kit no doubt about it. I'm definitely tempted but it would be good to know roughly how long the pump lasts. I had the very first Ultra Max i bought from Sherwin Williams when I was in the States a good 10 years ago and it was brilliant but the pumps gave out every 50 litres or so and that of course included running water through for cleaning. I'm sure they've come a long way since then! Keep us posted on how it does Phil. 👍

Did a full room in my house with mine 20x40ft even did the mist coat with it, did a great job although mine had a miss machined face on the gun itself causing a drip so ended up getting a refund, I think the GXFF cordless would suit me better tbh as I already own the Ultra handheld.

@@CaLuMm-ec8nb I've not sprayed capraol pu gloss. But find it dulls off as a gloss when I've brushed and rolled doors. I sprayed this week undercoat with 210 and finish coats with 308

New to spraying and really fancied this one but ended up ordering the GX21 direct feed unit from SprayDirect just because it claims to be able to do a wider range of jobs for roughly the same price. Hope I’ve made the right choice !!

ooooh, time will tell. did you get it with the Finish Finish set up? the GX21 has the 15m hose length and can take upto a .21 spray tip. the GXff is the same unit as the GX21, but has a the thinner 7.5m legth hose and can only go to a .19 spray tip..... as it's more geared towards woodwork painting where you'll be needing to use less paint (meaning you don't have to use so much paint just to fill the length of the hose). You'll more than likely be using a .08 or a .10 spray tip with it. The quick shot holds even less paint and will only go from a .08 to a .16 spray tip. so you won't be doing any large areas like you will be with your GX21 (or a GXff - like I have). any questions just ask.

@@ProfessionalPainterDecoratorthe GX21DF kit comes with a standard GX21 set up with the longer 15m hose and tub feed pipe plus another smaller box with a hoopa attachment and shorter thinner 7.5m hose so hopefully the kit will do both fine finish and walls/ceilings using the same unit with a hopefully quick and easy attachment swap over. Not unboxed it yet . Thanks for the info regarding tips. Out of interest what tip would you recommend for airless spraying Frenchic alfresco?

I've only sprayed Alfresco with HVLP :) you'll be looking around the .08 and .10 tip sizes

I'd have a Leros s before I spend on a sprayer. Got a Wagner for fence panels. Painting doesn't take long it's all in the preparation. Only 2amp batteries.

That's initially what I thought to be honest mate, but I've had a sleep on it overnight and I think this one would be great for popping up ladders and spraying fascias, windows, soffit board etc, small bits of furniture and woodwork in small rooms where space may be limited? Also clean up must be quicker and easier? I don't know if I'm just trying to convince myself to get one though! 😂 I already have the gxff and the 390 and they're brilliant but can be slightly cumbersome.

@@PBYM79I’ve had a Graco 395st since 1999 and it’s great when the opportunity arises. I could do with something smaller for small jobs and bought a 3 stage Apollo a few years ago but it’s not powerful enough. I’m seriously considering buying something like this though. Phil is very good at explaining the pros and cons 😊
