Jp.. D4Sound should come out with a simple 6"x9"component set that are designed to fit and replace the doors stock 6x9"s and sound great as direct replacements but sound even better with an amp since they've seem to have become the more common goto size for alot of the Trucks & S.U.V. manufacturers these days.. I've notice a lack of audio brands creating some options that offer to increase sound from the deepest lows to the rich crisp highs and I've yet to see any brands that have a made a 3way component set option either..

Jp how about making D4S 6x9" component sets in both 2 way and 3 way for todays trucks and other vehicles since they seem to be the new norm for todays vehicle manufacturers and no one really offers a direct replacement 2 way or 3 way component set option that fits in the doors of today trucks and SUV's that enhances the complete audible spectrum vs the factory speakers as is & even more so when an amp is added to them.. thanks for what you've done for car audio these days.. you've helped keep the basshead spirit alive with the younger generations of today with everything your doing

Clipping happens more often when under powered at high volume think a of a runt carrying a fat kid up hill as opposed to a fat kid carrying a runt down hill runt = low power fat kid = high power up hill = high volume down hill = low volume

They have to understand that a 50hz midrange is not going to sound the same as a 50hz midbass subwoofer. They are both built differently to produce those frequencies with authority.

just bought my first system (cheap amazon stuff but still) since like 2006, i'm hoping to get into the build business but i'm worried its not really in high demand these days, thoughts?

Like box building and custom fabrication? Very tough business to make any money in. I mean MTI and Sounds Good do A pillars, enclosures etc and they are incredibly well respected fabricators in our industry and even with CNCs and lasers, id bet they would even say it's tough. Not to discourage you though, if it's a passion you can always do it as a side gig for extra income

The larger the population, the more potential customers. My advice is do it on the side, while working a job in the trades (plumber, electrician, HVAC, etc.), build up a customer base and get your name out there. It's not gonna be doing a bunch of huge spl builds, but most will be head unit swaps, subwoofer add-ons and boring stuff like that. It's a lot of work and alot of dealing with people, so you just need to decide: how much do I want this? Whatever you decide, I wish you all the success.

I beat the hell out of my 12in NightShades. Three of them on two Salt 8's strapped. No power loss here. I play full tilt all the time. What is your electric like? Takes power to run power.

@@62dobie exactly, plenty of people have neo demo rigs that they beat the hell out of and they don't have to pull subs to recharge the neo every time they get hot. 🙄

@@bobbyackerson4125 , I play at 25hz. Sometimes, lower. I beat my system song after song. I very seldom let my system “cool” off. Been running it for two years. Don’t clip, keep it at rms power and you will be fine.
