One of the best videos I saw in a long time. So relaxing & hearty and warm - warming our winter in South Africa as well. Thank you for your calm being & inviting us into your kitchen. ❤❤❤ The day after we found out we are expecting another boy, I woke up & told my husband, "I just realised when the boys are in high school, I'll never have enough food in the house" 😄 Can totally relate! 19 weeks pregnant with our second, your bump is beautiful. 🥰

Pro tip: half bake your pie dough before you add the filling so that it doesn't become mushy soaking up the of the filling. So u will get crispy pastry at the top and the bottom

ATTENTION EVERYONE! Sezzy has posted!!! 🎉 I love this recipe! I feel like chicken pies are my childhood, one of the frozen pies from woolies, and this one is (obviously) even better! Brings back memories 🥺 and that GARLIC CRUSHER!!! My old one (which broke after 15 years of use) served me well! When I first saw your garlic crusher I literally messaged you on instagram asking you where it is from because that looks like my dream!! Also, Gertrude is the PERFECT NAME for her 😍😍 I love you, your family, your values and your videos! Praying for you and your boys, for your delivery (cannot wait!) ❤️

Hey sez! Love your content and love you! I’ve been making pies from scratch my whole life so here’s some pro tips. - try and use shortcrust pastry for at least the bottom of your pie, puff pastry is better for sausage rolls or pasties because it’s so light and won’t be able to hold such a large amount of wet filling - Cook your stock+flour+milk sauce separately to your vegetables and chicken so that when your assembling your pie it goes: pastry at the bottom, then your cooked chicken and veg, then the sauce, and frozen peas on top, then your pie lid. This guarantees no soggy bottom because the sauce seeps in gradually and isn’t added all at once. I really hope this helps! Let me know how you go

The transition of cooking for 3 hungry boys, my husband and myself is still ongoing for me. For instance, the dinner I made tonight I always double, plus add a bit more and I barely get a bite or two. However, my husband is away and I ended up overeating a bit since his portion was still in the pan. 😂 It's a learning curve ❤️Also, your bump is adorable ❤️ Can't wait to try out this recipe! I never think to use puff pastry!
