I was grinning through the whole thing, of course, but that part that made me laugh (literally) out loud was the "wrong" chord section. Mocking his talent, which he then slides into showcasing his talent, but even once he does it is so bloody mind-blowingly beyond that he is intentionally playing at genius levels not to have you enjoy the solo, more to highlight and point to virtuosity for the sake of the bit, and have you acknowledge, yeah, he is likely the best player you've ever heard. And then, and only then, does he drop it back into playing for the enjoyment of the melody and the music itself. This guy.

this was one of his first comedy gigs a long time ago, though Tim is anything but smug in real life. This is a stage persona. He didn't even plan to go into comedy, just kinda fell into it and went from this to selling out arenas in about 5 years. He is incredibly talented - this doesn't even scratch the surface of what he does (writer, poet, director, actor etc).
