💀so if we're going to attribute Languages with Imperialism and Colonialism, then I guess half of the world's languages should just not exist anymore. Dude you're like actually one of my favourite KZbinrs lmao, much love.

Great video. Correct, and we Lebanese also grow up with English in Lebanon these days. And OUTSIDE of Lebanon, many of us speak it as a NATIVE LANGUAGE. In addition, Lebanon is historically western as well as eastern. The Levant region BUILT the west. That's where Christianity comes from, that's where the ALPHABET was spread from (beginning in Byblos, Lebanon, by the Phoenicians). There'd be no English/Roman script without the Phoenician one that it is ultimately based on. Obviously, we get to speak English. And we get to use it to decry colonization and critique outrageous western foreign policy.

there is a point like maybe in the native country the official language should be the native one instead english but yeah i get the point.

Arabic is not the original language of Lebanon. It's complicated there, but we've had many languages throughout history, with Arabic being only the most recent one. But it was never the only one. And besides that, our country has always been a fusion of east and west (you can see my comment above for more details). So, I don't mind the usage of English in Lebanon. Nobody can really tell us not to speak it there.

Yeshua Jesus was born to a brown Jewish mother so I agrees. We should not be race warring but race accepting.

Who said anything about race? Who told you Lebanese were brown? LOL
@aag37523 ай бұрын
@@freepagan Probably a comment by a European. I don't know what it is with their obsession of looking at us as a brown population. Like "those poor brown people." Well thank you very much for your sympathy but you can keep your pity. And keep your racial comments to yourselves. They don't even know that many of us are light skin, and more "european looking" than they are. Europe got its genes from the Middle East. But the ignrance is baffling.

Look, sir or ma'am. We are not a "brown population." Nothing wrong with being brown, but you're placing us all under a single color without knowing anything. You've probably never been to Lebanon in your life, and you're just assuming? Lebanese people are generally light tan. Like other Mediterranean people, in Greece and Italy. Even Mark isn't dark skinned, he's medium toned. Many of us are even lighter, and some with blonde hair and blue eyes. What are you talking about with your racial comments? Mentioning our skin color in Lebanon or in Palestine for that matter is unnecessary. It's irrelevant. If you're going to do it then at least get it right. Man, the nerve.
