You're Fishing TOO SLOW! Speed Fishing as FAST as I can! (INSANE RESULTS)

Are you fishing too slow? Speed is the name of the game today, we are using metal jigs and dropping them to the bottom of the ocean, then reeling them in as fast as I can. This method is nothing new. Certain ocean fish can swim remarkably quick, and the only way to get their attention is to show them a fast-moving lure. I can't believe how well this worked, Florida fishing at its finest!

In Hawaii we call bonito Aku. Love to catch and eat this fish. Try drying it like jerky next time one of the best ways to eat it!!! Just don’t over dry it you want a little of moisture in it.

Bonita are good sushimi.. ceviche...smoked fish dip. A lot of people say it's trash fish... if you bleed it and ice it down, eat same day or next day.. it's absolutely delicious

Never tried speed jiggn. Been slow pitch jiggn this past season and luv it. Getting hit on the drop is crazy fun. My rod is a temple reef project X designed for both speed and slow pitch...so gonna try speed jiggn. Hope to never use live/cut bait again....lol. great vid...maybe your best!

Love your videos again thank you and your family. I live in nj and if you don't have a boat your not catching good fish especially now during winter. But the trash fish / thefish that no one wants is blue fish and sea Robin. I tried both, I would say if you know how to bleed a blue fish the proper way and put it on ice, cook it the same day, then yes it is a good eating fish. Would I rather eat a fluke? Or a stripped bass? Absolutely but there is something about catch and cook that make fish better than buying it.

In Wisconsin a sheephead is a trash fish like a carp, but it is not a carp. Sheephead are fresh water drum, and are very good to eat.

Here in the US, what we call bonito (or atlantic bonito) are more mackerel in shape, but are a DELICIOUS eating fish. Bonita/little tunny/false albacore are usually caught around the same time here off the NC coast as bonito, but people mistake them for each other and end up cooking Bonita and being disgusted by their flavor...

speed jigging is hard work! haha such a satisfying feel wen u finally get a solid hit from a good fish while jigging although not so ideal wen jigging wears u down to the point where u struggle to wind it haha in NZ we mostly speed jig for yellow tail kingfish but sometimes can get tuna, snapper, kahawai and even golden snapper

While you can eat a Bonito I’d strongly advise against eating a False Albacore.

A benefit of speed jigging is you are reeling it is a "hook set" speed. As soon they grab it, the hook gets set.

Speed jigging is fun right? 😂 In Indonesia we've done that all the time man, sometimes we also cast with a spoon lure dpending on the target fish The target fish usually are queenie, trevally, spanish mackerel, threadfin, barracuda, and sometimes mahi-mahi 😁

Love the vid as always but for jigging that rod is way to long. Only want a 5'6-6 foot tops for jigging. It helps you muscle up on fish but its also less work to do it

Floridians are completely spoiled rotten with the best fish to eat, which is great!! I'm yet to hook one of those bonitas, but i will someday. I remember throwing spanish, blues and every single jack right back in the water. I mean why bother with those when you can eat pompano or snappers. Even cudas are look down upon very much

I just question why are you using cheap spinner reels. They are for casting not for deep dropping and don't have the power conventional reels have. What you're doing is vertical jigging never heard anyone call it speed jigging, as opposed to slow pitch jigging. Those aren't jigging rods by the way

I've got a spinfisherVI 8000 with 580 lbs of 80 pound braid....45 inch per turn....with all brass sealed gearing and 40 pounds of drag.......it will land almost anything......my biggest was a 9.5 foot sturgeon from shore on the Fraser river Also used in Cuba and Dominican Republic

did you just called Shimano Stella a cheap spinning reel??? you re calling me poor in your language dude. for light jigging such as in the video most people use spinning reel. we use cheap 4000-5000 penn spinning reel (fierce and battle)and land all kind of fish like spanish mackerel, wahoo, barracuda including GT, you re correct about vertical jigging however since slow pitch became a thing which is also a vertical jigging, people start calling it speed jigging to differentiate both technique
