Great piece of advice on heel hooks from you guys! I personally struggle more with heel hooks on smaller holds, where the angle and rotation is even more crucial and it feels difficult to engage and put pressure on the foot 🤷♀️

Oh good point Marvin, I didn't even think of showing a small hold as an example in this video. We were too focused on that gnarly red problem! But yeah, I struggle with those too. Maybe Coach Justin can give us some advice on those in a future vid!

How do you like the mad rock drones? Will you be doing a review?
@MiguelClimbs3 жыл бұрын
Eh, they're ok. I think I prefer the scarpa instincts though, they fit my feet much better. And I might do a long term review of them in the future. I didn't take any broll of them brand new haha.

@@MiguelClimbs do you still wear the solutions?

@@small6559 Hey Small, no I don't wear Solutions anymore. I find the toe box on them to be too tall, and they give my big toes some crazy blisters!

I love heel hooks so much. I can really just crank down hard on a good heel, making it feel like I have endless power. I like using them to rest on long routes whenever possible. An easy way to think of engaging your hamstrings, is not so much that exact concept. But rather think of just the motion of bending your knee and pointing your toe, and all the right muscles will engage automatically. Great video though! Keep it up :D
