I loved the Nixon album cover. I’m a Lambchop fan. Fast forward to a couple of years ago. My wife bought a Wayne White book. Oh, Nixon! Now I’m a Wayne White fan for sure!

I too have been a lifelong, professional artist, working in many mediums and disciplines, including film. I recently watched Beauty Is Embarrassing, and can say that it adequately reflects an artist's life. I have sent a link to my niece, whose son (my nephew), is an extremely creative, talented artistic kid. Just as a warning and premonition for her.

I have a question, did he just paint letters on random paintings and call it his own art? Is it not copyrights on paintings?

Under copyright law, he significantly altered the original painting enough to be considered unique. Also, the paintings he uses are mass produced and sold in places like TJ Maxx and likely are reprints of paintings whose original copyright has long since expired.
