If you do Paralogue 1 after Chapter 9, then Mozu's relative value goes up, because the experience points from her join map are less contested. I demonstrate a ten-turn clear of her paralogue that gives her six levels.

"Mozu bad" is the pitfaller's pitfall. She seems bad because you get one look at her and she looks just like Donnel or Amelia who are legitimately bad/sub-optimal, but Mozu has so many tricks up her sleeve and is just in a game that really suits her.

Mozu's base class kit allows for a +29 ATK and +40 hit, making her an excellent boss killer. However, I always struggle with getting Life and Death as it means losing bow access for a few levels.

Most of my playthroughs, I end up with a Level 1 Villager Mozu that spends this mission as Corrin's backpack. Thanks for showing many ways to actually do this properly! Optimized or not, it's great to see so many ways to think about how to approach each chapter/paralogue.

I just handed her a Dread Seal, Paragon, and a brass dagger immediately after talking to her. Then Effie lures in Faceless, Felicia throws a dagger at the weakened Faceless, and Mozu finishes it off with another dagger. After she got like 3 kills, she could make the killing blow with only Effie hitting the Faceless first (as in, no help from Felicia). By the end of the battle, I think she was, like, level 10. I really like how Dread Fighter Mozu can just sit in a forest and allow spellcasters to run up and attack her. All the magic attacks deal very little damage (if any), she counterattacks with a dagger or two, and then heals back to full HP just from standing in the forest!

The main complaint I've heard about using Mozu isn't so much that she's hard to train (and really, she's not if you heart seal her into an archer, and if you're willing to use BP and VP, she can also use a cupid bow to heal the boss and then attack for more experience), but rather the main concern a lot of people seem to have with her is that using your first or second heart seal on her is not as optimal as what you could be doing with it. The problem becomes in that case that Mozu will be gimped if she stays in the villager class; since not only is making her into another bow user so you don't just only have Niles is very valuable in conquest, and once she gets to level 10, she can pick up quick draw for +4 extra damage during the player phase, which tends to be a good skill on whomever you can get to learn it. That said, and there seems to be a general mentality that if a unit needs a lot of investment just to so much as get a running start that they are not as good as those who have good base stats right from the get go, especially with units being put into tiers based on LTC play, which makes this even more unappealing from a "purely objective" standpoint.

@@matthewkuscienko4616 Yeah, but I learned long ago to not put any stock on LTC to evaluate units. And for efficiency, one can simply pop an Free DLC class on her like Great Lord or Dreadfighter.

@@DiogoJ1 I agree that a unit shouldn't be evaluated purely on their LTC performance, which is why put it the way I did; I've never liked LTC play much because it feels restrictive when judging a unit, although I do know that it is what a lot of people will judge a unit by. I feel that by playing LTC, you're not going to be able to use the units that you might want to use since it puts a big divide between the ones that are good and those that you shouldn't bother with, and I've noticed that on Reddit threads, for example, that Mozu is thought of as a very bad unit for the reasons I stated earlier. Having said that, I disagree with a lot of what is said on Reddit, and I have used Mozu more than once and I feel that she's not as bad as people like to say she is; sure, she has low bases, but to say she's worse than Donnel is laughable if you ask me. There was a meme that she isn't Donnel when the games first came out, which is kind of ridiculous when you consider that he tends to either be thought of as amazing (like the best unit ever) because of his growths and access to the hero class, while others think he's terrible because of how much of a pain in the ass he is to not only recruit, but also to train while he's a villager before giving him a second seal. I personally don't think he has a niche that he can fulfill when compared to other units that are trained, however, and I've never felt he was better than Mozu when I really thought about it. Than again, I'm not against training a unit and using stuff like skill buying and resources from other players' castles to help out my units, so make of that what you will.

In this Chapter I just stay with Mozu in the Forest suported by Elise and Corrin leveling her up as a villager to raise her Lance Rank and make her a Spear Fighter but then I remember she needa friendship with Oboro and I didn't choose Spear Fighter as Corrin secondary Class, I use her as an archer but she was rng Screwed so I gave her a Dread Scroll to try to make her usable, she becomed so overpowered and stupidly fast and strong, but she still waa quite frail so I pair her up with Keaton and now with his Daughter Velouria :B

Hey Zoran, I just found your channel and I really enjoy your content! You touch on the best use for the first few seals in the game and I wanna ask what is your favorite alternate class line for Corrin is? I usually go ninja F!Corrin so that Jakob can get replicate early and then go to MN for the rest of the game and utilize the broken throwing weapons. This gives replicate very early to Kanna and Dwyer, but honestly gets hectic when you have to move a lot of units across a map or have to deal with small corridors. What do you think?

I usually prefer for Corrin to go into Malig Knight, with Mag boon (+Spd before Branch of Fate) and Lck bane. Even when I do that, I don't necessarily pick Dragon talent; I often get into the wyvern tree through friendship. There are other great classes for Corrin to pick, and ninja is one of them, but I find that Corrin's contributions as a strong magical flier are less replaceable than what he or she can do as a ninja or cavalier or whatever. My next Conquest video is going to cover a different character who can become a great ninja.

Waah thank you for this video! Never thought on using Effie to level Mozu on this way. Even more surprised that you didnt need to use any tonic. 6 Levels and 1 Rank D bow will prove she isnt a low tier, not that it really matters. Btw, do you know if follow up attack give 2 wexp?

Great video like always I appreciate the effort you put into your videos. You mentioned for a moment that Effie is in a bad class line and that she would benefit from being in the archer line. When I play fates I rarely tend to explore classes with any unit but Corrin. With so many classes how do you know what is a good fit and keep your units from all being the same?

That’s a very, very big topic, and I don’t have room to cover it all here. Some of my other videos give suggestions on good class paths, so hopefully they can give you some ideas. One thing you can look for is the ability to collect multiple skills that boost damage-especially the ones you can get in base classes, like Wyvern Rider's Strength +2, Cavalier's Elbow Room, Archer's Quick Draw, and Mercenary's Strong Riposte. A unit who starts in one of those classes and then changes into another one can become very strong. Some units, like Effie and Silas, also have personal skills that add to their damage output.

My strategy for Conquest is a bit similar but simpler and less optimized. I do her paralogue as soon as it becomes available and send Corrin down with a heart seal and bronze bow. Pair Mozu with Silas or Effie (her in lead) and use the other to set up dual strikes. Use Azura to give Mozu as many hits/kills as possible. For me, the goal is to get her bow rank as high as possible in addition to her level, so she can get to the Killer Bow ASAP (got her to D rank). With Mozu attacking and supporting dual strikes as much as possible, I have also gotten her to level 7.

Do you have a Hinoka chapter planned for some point? It's probably the chapter I struggle with the most on lunatic, partly thanks to your video on Ryoma's chapter making that one easier Good video as always, though I kinda wonder if it would be worth it to do this chapter faster by sending some units towards the boss earlier, and feeding Mozu more in other chapters to make up for it

You get this a lot but damn I wish I saw this before I started my conquest run. 8 move bowflier with sniper skills is really good. You probably have a list of videos you're planning to make for conquest, but I was curious if you had a video planned on an efficient way to get life and death on Ophelia in one level and move on, if possible without spending 2 arm scrolls on her just to use the levin sword. I tried to feed her the berserkers in soleil's paralogue after chapter 21, but she was too high level and even feeding her some blacksmiths in 22 wasnt enough so she's gonna have to reclass mid chapter 23 😓. Also I'd love to see a video on planning out maps if you ever consider making one. All in all good work man, I'm always looking forward to the vids

About three hours, maybe four? I noticed right away that I could get Corrin to Mozu in two turns, so I built my plan around that, then just went from there. When I actually sat down to record, I had a hangup at that moment when I wanted the Faceless to attack Effie from the left-I didn't set up to force him that way in my original planning, he just picked it by chance. I didn't realize that at the time, so I had to go back and work out an alternate method to make it consistent.

The knight class may have gotten wary fighter in fates a la the general promotion, but their low movement holds them back. It's for this reason that I prefer the great knight promotion instead

Well What I did is just literally making Mozu keeping the brass naginata with Effie pair up. Mozu does like maybe one damage or something but it does helps a lot XD lots of heal staff were wasted of course ;_;
