The World Rapid Team Championship is a 12-round Swiss tournament taking place from 26-28 August 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Each team must field 6 players each round, including at least one woman and one "recreational" player who has never been rated above 2000.
Players receive 15 minutes for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment starting from move one. Teams receive 2 match points for a win, and 1 for a draw. Official website: worldrapidteams2023.fide.com

HAHA damn you, I spent my whole drive home from work calculating the pause the video moment, and I finally came to the conclusion " ahh screw what agad says, I'd play bxe6 anyways here" only because Rc4 was the only thing I saw working in the position. I wanted to play Rc4 immediately but after qxc4 and bxe6, yes you're threatening mate and the queen, but e2 hangs with check. And then you say it's the solution after I gave up 😂 well played

Rule of thumb, if you have a fianchettoed bishop on the kingside you can not give it up for anything less than the bishop of the same color.

It looks like it forces a queen trade, and while it's in black's top shots, white is still much better as you end up losing a piece. 37. Rd4 - Qe7 38. Qxe7 - Rxe7 39. Bxe6, taking the horse, which you can't take back because then you lose a rook or get mated

Sorry, when Svidler moved his rock to D4, why Dubov did not move his(black) queen to E7 to force a queen trade? Think it was the solution instead of Bishop to C2 and he would have his bishop protected on B3 as it is.

Svidler's chess was brilliant here. No doubt about it. But its brilliance is more than offset by his beard. He needs to grow it out so it's a real beard and gives him a nice strong chin. It looks like he used electric trimmers on a low setting and just ran it over his face. This completely invalidates his brilliant chess play, of course.
