I used to be a Chevy guy, until my first Powerstroke, 22 years and 4 trucks ago. Still have my #2 2003 , last of the 7.3's as a farm truck. A 2013 F250 got passed to my son with 150k miles and zero unscheduled maintenance calls. Hoping my 2023 serves me just as well. Don't expect I'll ever have anything other than a Ford Superduty Powerstroke as my daily driver, unless the Green-Monsters in congress outlaw diesel fuel altogether.

Talk about timing; I wish you had presented this opportunity a month ago, because I bought a 2017 Silverado 2500HD and certainly would have gone for your F250 after seeing how you maintained it. I like the pre-2000 Powerstrokes, too; had a 1997 and 1999, loved taking road trips in those trucks. Cool to see the F-450 you have with the flatbed. Have always wanted one of those.

Great video and info!! I have had a construction company for years and I'm definitely a Chevy man but all of my trucks are Fords why? Because the Chevys are always had transmission issues with pulling but the Fords you go hit the key every time it fires and goes!! Just keep his serviced like you are supposed to and respect it it will last for a long time!! Thanks

I have a 2011 F250 with the 6.7 diesel. It has 137k miles. For 9 years it was my daily driver. I now have a used Subaru Legacy as a daily and only use the F250 when I need a truck, like this coming weekend when I will be towing my 36 ft 5th wheel RV. I love that truck. I spend a $1k or $2k per year on repairs and maintenance but that is nothing compare to the cost of a new one. My next truck will be a F350 dually.

LOL. As a 70 year old man I can say I am a truck guy. Preference is any truck that runs, isn't totally beat up, and does not Nickle and dime you to death. I have a 2004 Chevy 3/4 ton Duramax Silverado, and a 2006 Titan. They are BOTH excellent trucks. Outside of the Titan, ALL my trucks have been Chevys but that is just what it is. I would definitely own a Ford given the opportunity.

We won’t have another diesel any time in the near future. Too many issues with the PowerStroke we owned for 17 years. We recently upgraded to a newer super duty F350 with the 7.3 gas engine. Lots of videos about it on our channel and our thoughts so far. But we’re very happy with it.

I’ve owned a few Fords back in the day and learned a valuable lesson as why not to buy another one. That being said, I’ve owned Chevy trucks and car both for the last four decades (give or take) and don’t get me wrong I’ve had a couple of issues with them but far less than other vehicles. But I more than likely would never buy another brand new truck as long as I live because the prices are completely ridiculous. Anyone that says “oh that’s a fair price” is either filthy stinking rich or doesn’t have a clue or the company is paying for it for company gains purposes. Just my opinion.

Keep in mind that congress signed into law, that huge infrastructure bill. In it, automotive makers, including commercial road vehicles, will be required to have a system that senses whether the driver is intoxicated, and will be able to disable the vehicle, and/or steer it to the side of the road, then disable it. That starts in 2026, but Ford and one other company (I can't remember which) are implementing their systems starting on their '24 models.

I've got a 2019 F-250 that has turned me back into a GM guy because my needs haven't changed. I still need a truck that doesn't have death wobble at 37k miles and Ford won't do anything about it. I also need the recall done for the foggy tailgate camera that Ford can't stock yet they have plenty of cameras for the new trucks. I'm done with Ford. A year ago, I put my 98' Chevy 1/2 ton back on the road. Way more reliable than the Ford
